We strive to inspire compassionate action within local communities to create a safety net of support for the unique needs of each child and family.

Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services exists to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and support their families in the challenges they face.

Our service areas are Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Clara County. Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services exists to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and support their families in the challenges they face. We provide family-centered care that addresses the emotional, practical and financial struggles for families of children and teens during treatment, families experiencing anticipatory grief and those who are bereaved. We envision a community where every child with a serious or life-threatening condition has a strong, supported and informed family empowered to fully participate in their care.

We had a spooktacular Halloween Art From The Heart! 👻🧡

Little ghosts, princesses, minions, and more filled our Family Center with smiles and laughter as they showed off their adorable costumes. Everyone got to dive into frightfully fun crafts like ghost garlands, painted pumpkins, spooky hand puppets, and more. 🕸️ The creativity was boo-tiful to see and we all had a great time celebrating this spooky season together! 🎃

Ring, ring, ring 🔔 another bell has been rung! 💖

We want to say a huge congratulations to one of our Jacob’s Heart kiddos, Yamilet, for celebrating her end of treatment a few weeks ago! 🎉 Yami was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2024 and after 2.5 years, she has finished her treatment! We are so grateful to have had the privilege of supporting Yami and her family for nearly three years. Having our Jacob’s Heart staff by their side during this incredible celebration was so meaningful. 💗

Please give a huge round of applause to Yami for this amazing achievement! 👏 Your Jacob’s Heart family is so proud of you!✨ 🩷

Today is the third national DAF day, a day to highlight all the amazing things Donor-Advised Funds can do! ✨

What is a DAF?
A DAF is a charitable savings account that lets you donate to your favorite cause. You can contribute cash, stocks, or other assets, get the tax deduction up front, and then recommend grants to organizations like Jacob’s Heart when you're ready. It’s a great way to plan and simplify giving! 🧡

If you choose to give to Jacob’s Heart, your DAF will:
⭐Support our programs like Full Hearts Groceries and Transportation
⭐Ensure families can have basic bills covered while their child is in treatment
⭐Help families get necessary counseling services so they can navigate this complex journey

The Spring Lamb BBQ has been an incredible supporter of Jacob’s Heart since 2018. After another great year, they were able to raise $30,000 for our kiddos battling cancer! We are so grateful for another amazing year at Dia De Los Whitewalls! ❤️

Last Thursday, the amazing team behind Dia De Los Whitewalls came to our Family Center for a special check presentation, celebrating an incredible $27,000+ raised for families battling pediatric cancer! We are so grateful for this amazing partnership and to everyone who came out to support this year’s Dia De Los Whitewalls. 🏎️ 🧡

The check presentation was part of a community mixer we hosted with the Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce, giving us the opportunity to welcome even more of our community into the Family Center and share more about the work we do at Jacob’s Heart. Thank you to everyone who joined us that evening! We are constantly reminded of how lucky we are to have such a caring community behind our families, and last Thursday was a wonderful example of that support. ✨

At Jacob’s Heart, there are many ways we remember the kiddos who we have lost from cancer. 🎗️

Throughout the month of October, we bring our altar into the lobby of our Family Center as a space for staff, families, and visitors to pause, reflect, and honor the incredible kiddos we carry in our hearts. It is a place to remember their lives and keep their memories close. While our altar lives year-round in our altar room, bringing it into our lobby during October gives us a special opportunity to slow down, honor these kiddos, and spend time remembering the lasting impact they had on all of us. 🤍✨

We are grateful to carry these kiddos with us, forever a part of our hearts and the Jacob’s Heart family. Because once a Jacob’s Heart family, always a Jacob’s Heart family. 🧡

Our kiddos had a great day at the ballpark! ⚾🧡

A few weeks ago, the San Francisco Giants gave our families tickets to come watch the game on Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day! Everyone had a great time watching some baseball and enjoying the beautiful day in San Francisco. And to make the day even more special, one of our kiddos, Addie, got her moment in the spotlight on the big screen! 🌟

We are so grateful to the San Francisco Giants for providing this opportunity for our families. It is experiences like these that help create unforgettable memories for our kiddos battling cancer. Thank you for the support! 🧡🖤
