Today marked an important step forward for Santa Cruz County with the ribbon cutting of the Coastal Community Justice Center. 💜
This collaborative initiative brings together Monarch Services, Walnut Avenue Women’s & Children’s Center, the District Attorney’s Office, Adult Protective Services, and many other community partners committed to removing barriers for survivors and families.
Most importantly, the voices, experiences, and leadership of survivors remain at the center of this work. Survivors are not simply recipients of services—they are leaders and experts whose experiences help shape stronger, more accessible systems of support.
We are proud to be part of this important step forward for our community. 💜🦋

Hoy celebramos un gran paso con la inauguración del Coastal Community Justice Center of Santa Cruz County. 💜
Esta iniciativa reúne a Monarch Services, Walnut Avenue Women’s & Children’s Center, la Fiscalía del Condado, Servicios de Protección para Adultos y muchos otros aliados comprometidos con eliminar las barreras para sobrevivientes y familias.
Sobre todo, las voces, experiencias y liderazgo de sobrevivientes permanecen al centro de este trabajo. Las personas sobrevivientes no son solamente quienes reciben servicios—son líderes y expertas cuyas experiencias ayudan a crear sistemas de apoyo más sólidos y accesibles.
