Hay una inconsistencia importante que las personas beneficiarias de DACA deben entender.

Actualmente, USCIS muestra un tiempo de procesamiento en el que indica que el 80% de los casos de DACA se completan en aproximadamente 6.5 meses, lo que equivale a unos 195 días.

Pero, al mismo tiempo, USCIS recomienda que las solicitudes de renovación de DACA se presenten entre 120 y 150 días antes de la fecha de vencimiento del DACA actual.

Entonces, ¿qué significa esto?

There is an important inconsistency that DACA recipients need to understand.

USCIS currently lists a processing time showing that 80% of DACA cases are completed within approximately 6.5 months​ that is about 195 days. (source: USCIS processing times 09/01/2026)

But USCIS also recommends that DACA renewal requests be filed 120–150 days before the current DACA expires.

So, what does that mean?
120 days = approximately 4 months
150 days = approximately 5 months

Do you see the problem?
