Today, Wellmore Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (MCIS) and Care Coordination staff members participated in Waterbury Youth Services (in collaboration with the City of Waterbury and the Board of Education) annual Citywide Back To School Rally.

With over 1,500 attendees, our staff members were able to spread awareness of services offered to families such as Mobile Crisis and the Urgent Crisis Center.

It’s official: The Village and Wellmore have merged! After months of careful planning and analysis, both organizations’ boards of directors and all appropriate governmental regulators have approved the merger, thus creating one of the largest behavioral health non-profit agencies in Connecticut.

Together, we will annually serve more than 30,000 clients in more than 100 municipalities! Our impact will grow over time as we learn to harness the incredible expertise and dedication of our employees.

Leaders from each board of directors joined staff and community leaders for a celebration and sign unveiling earlier today at 141 East Main Street in Waterbury.

Today, we honor Juneteenth—a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

As we reflect on this important moment in history, we recognize the contributions, achievements, and strength of Black communities and reaffirm our commitment to fostering inclusion, understanding, and opportunity for all.

Please note that all Wellmore offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, June 22.
