Congratulations to all on their elections to the following positions:

President- Dave Sikes (reelected by acclamation)

Secretary- Sam Kinkade (reelected by acclamation)

Executive Board- Justin Myers (reelected), Mike Locorotondo (reelected), Nate Brophy and Matt Stolfi.

Mike Hilinski and Ken Tamborra did not seek reelection to the Executive Board, and we thank them for their many years of service to the Union. Congratulations to all and thank you to those who put their name in the ring to help make our Union even stronger than it already is.

Over 20 Waterbury Firefighters were on hand today for services for Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF and Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts (PFFM) member Robert Kilduff Jr, known to us as BK, who lost his life last Saturday in a multiple alarm fire. May he rest in eternal peace.

Members are to stage at 1415 hours in the parking lot of the church for a uniformed member walk through.

Members are to report to the Deputy in charge at 0845 hours in front of the church.

Uniform is Class A, black tie, and white gloves and mourning band.

ON THIS DATE- in 1959, Waterbury Firefighters Association IAFF Local 1339 became a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters

Whether it’s philanthropically, physically, or emotionally our members have given all they can, each time they are asked.

Members of our Local have served on committees across Connecticut, New England and our Third District; and across the 2 great nations our International represents.

Our members have been instructors around the globe, have presented at conferences throughout the country, and learned from the best labor leaders and instructors the IAFF has to offer, all the while delivering first class fire and rescue services to the residents and visitors of our city.

Our members are always ready to help. We are stronger together!
