Hundreds of public sector Teamsters were forced to strike after Orange County failed to offer a new contract.

These workers provide critical services — like maintaining our parks, animal shelters, roads, and first responder vehicles — for more than three million country residents. By not offering Teamsters a new contract, the Orange County Board of Supervisors left workers with no choice but to hit the picket line.

The responsibility to end this strike rests squarely on the shoulders of the Board of Supervisors.

ORANGE COUNTY TEAMSTERS LAUNCH ULP STRIKE

More than 465 County of Orange public sector workers, represented by Teamsters Local 952, have been forced to launch a ULP strike after the county failed to offer a fair contract.

The ball is in the county Board of Supervisors’ court to end the strike and offer workers a contract that reflects the critical nature of their work.

Amazon Teamsters just organized their 8th facility in California, after drivers at DCX7 and DDO6 in Torrance joined the Teamsters on the same day.

This follows other organizing victories across the state including KSBD, Amazon’s key West Coast air hub, and DJT6, one of Amazon’s most important facilities in the U.S.

Amazon workers in California know how important they are to Amazon’s national operations. They’re joining the Teamsters by the hundreds to win the pay, benefits, and dignity they have earned for making Amazon the richest company on the planet.

BREAKING NEWS: Amazon Teamsters in New York City are on the verge of passing the Delivery Protection Act and becoming the first city to end dangerous delivery subcontracting. The legislation has support from Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani and a supermajority of the council. But New Yorkers are waiting on Speaker Julie Menin to put this important bill up for a vote.

Speaker Menin, the ball is in your court. It’s time to stand with workers and to listen to every day New Yorkers. It’s time to pass the Delivery Protection Act!

More than 200 health care workers at Madison Healthcare Services represented by Teamsters Local 638 have ratified a new contract. These Teamsters work throughout the entire health care system in Madison, MN, at hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes.

Under their Teamsters collective bargaining agreement, the workers have strengthened their workplace protections and improved wages significantly — with an 18% general wage increase from 2024-2028. This new contract further proves that health care workers get more as Teamsters 💪⚕️🩺

ENCORE BOSTON HARBOR HAS A GREED PROBLEM

Encore Boston Harbor raked in $847 million last year. Yet instead of offering a fair contract, management has forced 1,300 casino workers onto the picket line, including 211 Teamsters in the warehouse, horticulture, and floral departments, as well as workers in the call center, cage cashiers, limo drivers and dispatchers, traffic attendants, valet and guest experience attendants.

The workers represented by Teamsters Local 25 and UNITE HERE Local 26 will remain on strike until Encore returns to the bargaining table with a fair offer.
