Today we signed a ten-year training partnership extension with Washtenaw Community College to keep our annual National Instructor Training Program on campus until 2035. This partnership has been extremely successful, and this agreement will secure the amazing facilities at Washtenaw for years to come, ensuring our trainers have access to the best resources and instruction available.

WCC and the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers signed a 10-year extension to continue to host the union’s national Instructor Training Program on the college's campus through 2035.

Last night at the Roofers Local 70 Union Sportsmen's Alliance dinner, we were able to present the first-ever United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers & Allied Workers Scholarship. The scholarship was awarded to Kaitlyn Fry. She plans to pursue her Master’s in Athletic Training, allowing her to help others recover from injuries and improve their physical health. Kaitlyn’s dad is Local 70 member Bruce Fry. We are thrilled to be able to provide some assistance to this young woman to help her achieve her professional dreams.

Last night at the annual gala in DC, our very own Gig Ritenour received the very honorable Outdoor Heritage Award. Roofers were also recognized once again for highest gross/highest net shooting event—that went to the annual Roofers Twin Cities Sporting Clays Shoot sponsored by Roofers Local 96. Thanks for all your efforts in bringing union members together to enjoy the great outdoors and give back to the community.
