The 17th Annual International Conference on Stigma will be held November 18–20, 2026, as a hybrid event hosted at Howard University Hospital. The in-person day will occur on November 20th, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This year’s conference theme, “Shattering Invisibility: Let Your Light Shine. Break the Stigma,” reflects our continued commitment to creating spaces for dialogue, education, collaboration, and action. The event will feature nationally recognized and emerging researchers, clinicians, community advocates, government leaders, and individuals with lived experience through keynote presentations, interactive plenary sessions, workshops, research briefings, poster presentations, and an art contest. Stigma related to HIV, Sickle Cell Disease, Mental Health, Autism, Epilepsy, Hansens Disease (Leprosy), and more will be covered. Additional programming will include leadership development sessions and specialized sessions for faith-based communities.
