Yahya Al-Mustafaa Madyun is a seasoned youth development and education leader with more than three decades of experience serving Washington , DC's young people and schools. His work is rooted in restorative justice, positive youth development, and culturally responsive leadership--approaches that help students feel seen, supported, and accountable as members of their learning community.
As former Senior Advisor to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services and Assistant Director at the University of the District of Columbia's Center for 4-H and Youth Development, he has guided educators and systems in creating trauma-informed, growth-focused environments.
As an advocate and facilitator for Youth/Adult Partnerships and meaningful Youth Participation, Yahya's lifelong commitment is to building strong, equitable school cultures where every student has the opportunity to thrive and lead with purpose.
