Adoption Highlight, Tutu – Seeking His Forever Family

People-Oriented * Gentle * Curious

At two years old, Tutu is a true social butterfly who thrives on human connection. His affectionate and easygoing nature makes him an absolute joy to have around. Whether he’s greeting you with his soft little meow, plopping down beside you while you relax, or curling up at the foot of the bed at night, Tutu is happiest when he’s close to his humans.

Tutu would be the ideal cat for any family, as he's great with kids-- even little ones. He especially loves being caressed and fussed over by the children and has been happily sharing a room with the 7-year-old in his foster home.

Tutu enjoys lounging around the house, exploring his surroundings, watching board games in progress, and occasionally chasing ribbons or trying to catch a stray fly. He’s also very interested in pencils and crayons — if you’re doing homework, drawing, or coloring, expect some enthusiastic “cat-assisted” scribbles!

Tutu previously lived with another cat, but his compatibility with new felines is currently unknown.

If you’re looking for a loving, gentle companion who will greet you every day with sweet meows and adoring companionship, Tutu may be the perfect addition to your family. Tutu plans to be at PAWS Meet & Greet this Saturday, 10am – noon, 411 Lowell Street, Wakefield, so do come meet him. Adoption applications may be found at pawswakefieldma.org.

Following our recent introduction of Serena’s babies—born on April 27th after their brave mama was rescued from a house fire—we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on each of these special kittens. Meet Rainbow, Sage, Hemingway, Glitter, Selina, and Sasha. With the exception of our charming little boy Hemingway, the entire litter is female.

We’ll keep you updated as the kittens continue to grow and glow. At this time, we are not accepting adoption applications as they will not be available for at least another couple of months.

Adoption Highlight, Lola – Seeking Her Forever Home

Fun-Loving * Lively * Sassy

Young, active and saucy, 3yo Lola looooves to play! She enjoys playing fetch and zipping around, often sprinting sideways and sliding across the floor when unable to stop in time. She can never resist an open cabinet, that’s when her adventurous side awakens! When she's not busy playing or exploring, you’ll find Lola perched by the window bird- and people-watching, enjoying her scratch pad, snoozing in her bed, or sprawled across the floor in a patch of sunlight.

Lola is timid at first and it may take about a month for her to truly warm up and adjust to new people. She prefers to show affection on her own terms rather than sitting on your lap. Because she gets overstimulated easily, gentle petting is best, and she will clearly communicate when she has had enough. In time, Lola will welcome ear rubs, face scratches, and cuddles—as long as you respect her boundaries!

Lola will do best in a quiet, adult-only home with an experienced adopter where she may shine as your only pet. A spunky girl with a heart full of love, Lola cannot wait to meet you so do complete an adoption application today at pawswakefieldma.org and we’ll be in touch.

Adoption Highlight, Annabella – Seeking Her Forever Home

Social * Happy * Adorable

Annabella, a serene, well-mannered, 12-year-old sweetheart delights in sitting on laps and having her plush coat brushed to perfection. She is a friendly, attentive companion who will follow you to your chair, waiting patiently to be picked up and pampered. Annabella is comfortable meeting new people and warmly welcomes guests, particularly those who spend time petting her. She thoroughly enjoys her food and although she was slightly overweight when first rescued, she has successfully trimmed down to a perfect, healthy weight.

This sweet lady thrives on human companionship and seeks a household with someone who is home often to give her the attention and affection she deserves. Annabella will do best as a solo pet since her compatibility with other animals is unknown. Your future feline friend is eagerly waiting to meet you, so do complete an adoption application at pawswakefieldma.org today and we’ll be in touch.

Happy Tails, Adoption Update – Belle and Pepper

Belle and Pepper, fka Belly and Steve, were adopted six months ago. Their mom, Jessica, shared this warm update and beautiful photo of them in a cuddle puddle (Pepper_L, Belle_R).

‘We adopted them the 29th of November. They seemed to be a bonded pair amongst the litter of 5. When I visited, Belle jumped in my lap and Pepper followed and they both sat for a minute before chasing each other around the room.’

‘They often sleep together. And I am positive that Pepper has a specific meow for Belle because she usually comes running. Belle is less outgoing and shy. But they love each other and we love them. Allison and her family did an awesome job fostering them!’

Congratulations, Jessica and family, on adopting this inseparable duo! You have given them a lifetime of happiness by ensuring that their world stays safe and complete. Thank you for your kind words and recognition of Allison and her family in the rescue process. Loving and socializing a cat in foster care makes their transition to a forever home a smooth and joyful journey and Belle, Pepper and their siblings were cherished in their foster home. We look forward to additional updates and photos of your lovebugs!

Make it a wonderful Wednesday, all!
