Global: The Walks Have Begun - Rain or Shine!

Our Annual Walk for Global Empowerment has a BIG year - the 20th Anniversary Walk AND the Walk that will put us over the $2 million line in funds raised since the Walk began. What a great way to extend more of the kingdom of heaven to the materially poor!

While the BIG Walk is this Saturday (June 6, the Gazebo on Lake Quannapowitt, Wakefield - enter 1 Church Street, Wakefield in your GPS; Registration 9:30 am; Official Walk Start 10:00 am), there are many who have already started walking around the world! The first Walkers? That would be Tyrone and Liwen, walking for Team Moldova this past Sunday, despite Boston not offering the nicest weather in which to walk! They have a family graduation this Saturday that will not allow them to attend the BIG Walk, but neither that nor the rain could keep them from having kingdom impact!

If you can join us this Saturday at the BIG Walk, great! Chick-fil-A (Burlington Mall), Honey Dew Donuts (Main Street, Wakefield), and area Stop & Shops are all contributing to give you a warm (and tasty!) welcome! The PEER Teens have a fun line-up of games for the whole family. If that time and place don't work for you, you can walk anytime anywhere on the planet through June 7 and crowdfund through July 31. Go to our Walk crowdfunding page (https://peerservants.kindful.com/2026-walk-for-global-empowerment) to choose your Walk Team, register, and start your crowdfunding. If you can't join us, use that same link to support your favorite Walker or Walk Team. Our 2026 Walk Goal is $250,000. Imagine the smiles on many faces around the world (and Jesus Himself!) as they experience a bit more of this kingdom of heaven on earth as a result of your walking, crowdfunding, and giving!

See you THIS Saturday!

Uganda: Youth Outreach to Schools and Beyond

PEER Teens, the youth empowerment arm of PEER Servants, started with six young people in Northern Uganda almost 12 years ago. Since then hundreds of young people in seven countries have joined hands to extend more of the kingdom of heaven to earth, with the inspiring Teens in Northern Uganda taking the lead.

Check out the recent efforts of the young people to make Jesus and His kingdom known to and experienced by other youth. Whether it is to schools, prison, hospitals, churches, or beyond, these young people are extending "palpable kingdom presence" to West Nile. We applaud them and thank God they are "setting the example" for the rest of us.

South Sudan: One of Many Amazing Teens

Founded in 2014, PEER Teens is a global community of young people who are learning together how to experience God’s kingdom and extend that kingdom to others. One of the most active affiliates is PEER Teens South Sudan - affiliated with our Partner in Yei, SALT, and one of the many young people in PEER Teens South Sudan is a young woman named Tesnia.

When Tesnia joined PEER Teens South Sudan in 2022, she dedicated her life to serving God and to spreading His message in the communities around her. But she was fearful that she could not lead prayers, preach, conduct Bible studies, and perform other activities that required addressing a congregation. With the courage and motivation she received from her fellow PEER Teens, and her trust in the Lord to use her for His purposes, Tesnia has overcome her fears. She is the first to say that she has been transformed and can now boldly share her passion for God in any situation.

We celebrate young people like Tesnia who are setting the example for all of us in their faith, conduct, speech, love, and purity!

Peru: Who Bought These School TVs and Refrigerator?

If you were to visit the school of the small Andean village of Conchacalla, the children (and staff!) would run to show you their two new TVs and refrigerator. Why? Because the purchasers of these TVs and refrigerator are VERY special!

The children of Conchacalla, through the support of our Peruvian Partner, Kallarisunchis, are showing what can happen when hard work, teamwork, and learning come together. Kallarisunchis has offered a program where the children learn topics like science, math, and more through hands-on gardening. Children who used to struggle in school are now thriving. Then, through the sale of the vegetables and seedlings they grew themselves, it was the school children who earned enough money to purchase two televisions to support classes and educational activities and a refrigerator to help store food for the children!

This achievement is more than just a transaction - it is a reflection of the students’ dedication, responsibility, and growing entrepreneurial spirit. By caring for the garden and selling their harvest and plants, the children are helping improve their own learning environment and daily lives. We are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished and grateful to the Kallarisunchis and everyone who supports them in its mission to empower these indigenous children through education, sustainability, and community and enable them to experience a bit more of heaven on earth.

Global/Our Global Partner Impact Award Honorees

As you know by now, we have an impressive group of Global Partners that we have the privilege of working with to extend a bit more of heaven to earth. Just choosing the three finalist honorees for our Global Partner Impact Award wasn't easy! We chose the final three given how they show the breadth of our Partners - a Bengali organization in India that serves thousands of the materially poor today given the tremendous personal sacrifice of its Bengali founder and General Secretary; a Moldovan organization that is keeping families together in a country that has witnessed a sharp decline in population since the Soviet collapse; and, a Filipino organization that started with a microfinance program, grew it into one of the largest in the country, and then directed the surplus to help start 20+ other programs that empower the neediest in the communities. You will not be able to stop thanking God when you watch this video! Check it out at https://youtu.be/_gEFGppOFVw and join us in thanking God for a network of Global Partners like these!

Global/Our Youth Empowerment Award Honorees

Youth Empowerment has become one of the largest of our programs at PEER Servants. What started with six young people in Northern Uganda now involves hundreds of young people in seven countries with a common passion - they want to see more of the kingdom of heaven in their own communities!

Our Youth Empowerment Social Entrepreneur Grant Award honored three of the Teens initiatives - rebuilding the home of a woman and her family in Northern Uganda after a devastating fire, hosting a Fun Run in Greater Boston to raise thousands of dollars for food/water security programs, and making life better for prisoners in South Sudan through the provision of benches, a non-leaking roof, and much more. All of these started with a $100 Social Entrepreneur Grant from PEER Servants. Check out this video to see how far that $100 went! https://youtu.be/I3zighwN9MI

We are inspired every day by what young people around the world are doing to allow the kingdom to come "on earth as it is in heaven". Thank you, Global PEER Family, for making such encouraging stories like these possible!

Global: Our Walk for Global Empowerment is One Month from Today!

It's our biggest crowdfunding event of the year - our Walk for Global Empowerment, and this year we're hoping to raise over $250,000 that would help us cross the $2 million line of funds raised since Walk inception. Every step and every penny has gone and will go to programs in microfinance, education, youth empowerment, healthcare, and food/water security that are extending a bit more of heaven to earth in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Americas. Would you join us this year by walking and crowdfunding or sponsoring someone who is? Please go to https://peerservants.kindful.com/2026-walk-for-global-empowerment to choose your Walk Team, register, and take some steps to make life much better for others around the world. Thanks!

Global/Our Healthcare Access Award Honorees

Jesus devoted a lot of his time and attention to healing people physically. We salute our Global Partners that are doing the same to extend a bit more of heaven to the people in their part of the world. That could be Vision Care in West Bengal, India or educating the next cohort of healthcare providers in Western Zambia. It could also be providing quality healthcare that is both affordable and on its way to becoming sustainable to the materially poor in Guatemala! Initiatives like these put a big smile on Jesus' face, and on ours as well! Check out our honorees for the Healthcare Access Award at https://youtu.be/PKBddiSXPXo.

Thank you, Global PEER Family, for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
