Sri Lanka: Special Project Grant - Nurse Assistant Training Program

Last year, YGro (PEER Servants’ Sri Lankan Partner) offered a Nurse Assistant Training program to 25 young people from low-income and disadvantaged families who have limited access to vocational training opportunities. Upon graduation, all 25 were employed! Now, YGro wants to expand the program to 50 young people from similar backgrounds. offering the skills and qualifications needed to pursue sustainable careers in the healthcare sector. Students will complete a professional Nurse Assistant Course leading to the nationally recognized NVQ Level 4 certification. YGro will partner with reputable training institutes to deliver quality technical training that meets industry standards. Upon completion of the classroom component, trainees will undertake structured on-the-job training in recognized healthcare institutions, providing valuable practical experience and improving their prospects for long-term employment.

South Sudan: Special Project Grant - Rebuilding Farming Project

Every year as a form of peace returns to the country, thousands of South Sudanese refugees and internally displaced peoples return to their homes to find nothing. Everything they have owned and even their means of livelihood have been destroyed. One of the first steps that needs to be taken is to make the people food secure. SALT, PEER Servants’ South Sudanese Partner, has offered a successful agriculture program in Yei and Morobo Counties (where 90% of families rely on their own farms to put food on the table) that has already made hundreds of South Sudanese families food secure. This year, SALT wants to bring the program to the next level by turning the best farmers into trainers of other farmers and create a Demo Farm to show farmers what grows well, especially in days of climate change. This Rebuilding Farming Project will reach 480 farmer families with not only food security, but specialized training, community support, and spiritual encouragement.

SALT needs $25,000 to support the Rebuilding Farming Project. Peru: Special Project Grant - Land for the Center for Development and Sustainability

For over 25 years, our Peruvian partner, Kallarisunchis, has operated out of rented office space. The number of programs they offer and the number of people they serve has significantly increased, and there is a current attractive opportunity to purchase land. In the days ahead, they will build their office – The Center for Development and Sustainability – but it will operate than much more than an office. The Center will be managed by Kallarisunchis and generate learning, employment, and income opportunities for older adults, rural women, children, and their families, progressively contributing to the financial sustainability of the programs the institution carries out with these vulnerable indigenous groups. Additionally, it will serve as a space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences with universities, volunteers, tourists, churches, and other organizations interested in community development. This Special Project Grant is a first step to help purchase the land, and it's Cause 01 among the 16 Causes in our 2026 Celebration Offering.

Kallarisunchis anticipates needing $60,000 to purchase the land. They already have $20,000. This Special Project Grant would raise the next $20,000, and that $20,000 will be matched by PEER Servants up to $20,000 to provide the remaining $40,000 needed. Boston: Meet Our "Team 90s"!

We are blessed at PEER Servants to have a very diverse family in every way imaginable. This includes diversity by generations! This past weekend, we held a 90s Birthday Party for those in the family who have recently turned 90. We were so honored to be in their midst! During our time together they shared favorite verses, life experiences, and even a beautiful hymn on the piano! They are still super productive for the kingdom in their prayers, generosity, and wisdom. Join us in wishing the happiest of birthdays to Dave, Betsy, Ramesh, Linda, Goergianna, Berni, and Salvi!

Zambia: Chickens Doing Their Part in Sustainable Development

For over 15 years, PEER Servants has partnered with a local organization now called CCCT (Christ Centre for Community Transformation) that is offering sustainable development to the Zambian people. What started with microfinance now includes education, youth empowerment, food security and some larger income generating activities, including a Chicken Layer Farm. These chickens have been very productive! CCCT can sell the eggs, empower young people who help out at the farm, and provide a good source of protein in the local diet. CCCT has plans to expand their Mixed Farming Project even further, and the chickens are ready to do their part!

Global: Online Voting for our 2026 Lydia Awards is Open!

Every year we are so blessed to highlight some of the inspiring stories of the tens of thousands of microentrepreneurs served by our Global Partners. We do this through our annual Lydia Awards - honoring Lydia of Acts 16 who used her business to support St. Paul and his companions in what led to the birth of the church in Europe. We are pleased to announce the three Finalists for the 2026 Lydia Award, including Emmanuel (a young man in Uganda whose business proceeds allow him to provide an education to many others that he was never able to get), Lucinda (a Pastor in the Philippines who did not let losing her job at age 60 keep her from generating income to impact her community), and Mihai (a goat farmer in Moldova who has proven business in Moldova can be successful and a means to keep families together). Global/Boston: Our Global Prayer Conference is here!

This weekend - Saturday/Sunday, September 12/13, is our Global Prayer Conference! Saturday from 9-11 am (Boston), we'll meet virtually from around the world via Zoom. Sunday we'll meet in smaller in-person gatherings. The Boston gathering will be at Grace Chapel Lexington in their church offices (The Common Room 2 Militia Drive, Lexington, MA). We'll start with a light lunch at 12:45 pm and say the last Amen by 2:45 pm.

You will get the latest answers to prayer from our Global Partners while getting their current prayer requests in their efforts to extend more of the kingdom. When it comes to extending a bit more of heaven to earth, our God will stop at nothing we ask! Moldova: A New Vehicle to Serve More Rural Clients

Nice set of wheels, eh?! It's what you enabled Invest Credit, our Moldovan Partner, to purchase through a PEER Servants Special Project Grant. How will this vehicle help Invest Credit extend more of the kingdom to the rural materially poor in Moldova? These are the words of the Invest Credit staff...

"The Special Project Grant/Branch Vehicle enabled Invest Credit to purchase a new Suzuki vehicle, significantly improving our ability to serve clients in rural and remote communities. Prior to this investment, transportation represented a challenge for our credit experts, particularly when traveling long distances or reaching villages with poor road infrastructure. The new vehicle has enhanced our mobility, allowing staff to visit clients more efficiently, conduct on-site assessments, monitor financed activities, and maintain regular contact with borrowers. As a result, clients receive faster and more responsive service, reducing the time required for loan processing and follow-up visits. The impact has been especially important for clients located outside Chișinău, where access to financial services is often more limited. Improved transportation has enabled our team to reach a greater number of clients and strengthen relationships with existing borrowers. This contributes to better financial inclusion and supports the growth of small businesses and households that rely on our financing services."

Invest Credit has been serving Moldovan micro-entrepreneurs for over 25 years and is making it possible for Moldovan families to stay together in Moldova. Thank you, Global PEER Family, for making this possible!

Chicago: Two VERY Special Birthdays!

The entire Global PEER Servants Family is celebrating this month. Why? Because 90 years ago, God breathed life into one of our most beloved PEER Servants Volunteers, Berni, from Chicago. There's more! 50 years ago from today, Berni made the life-changing decision to say "Yes!" to Jesus' invitation to follow Him! According to Berni, life before that decision was anything but "abundant" and it has been extremely abundant ever since.

Berni is a tremendous blessing to countless number of people around the world. She is one of PEER Servants' most faithful (and powerful!) prayer warriors. She is extremely generous and selfless. We celebrate her this month as one who is dearly loved by her Global PEER Family and even more so by Jesus.

Thank you, Lord, for this most precious gift, Berni!
