The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield (TSF), Massachusetts - A non-profit community organization that helps Wakefield students meet the costs of higher education. Funds are provided by: Donations from Individuals, Groups, Businesses and Organizations; Memorials, Trusts or Bequests; Fundraising Events; and Income Earned on Investments.

TSF funds honor families and businesses whose connections to Wakefield have left a lasting impact on our community. The Carmelo, Francesca & Concettina Rizza Memorial Family Fund has been established to recognize the Rizza family’s enduring contributions to Wakefield and their decades of service to the local business community.

Beginning in June 2026, this scholarship will support a Wakefield student pursuing education beyond high school. A longtime Greenwood resident, Mary Jo was deeply devoted to her family, friends, and community. Through this scholarship, her legacy of kindness, compassion, and service will continue to inspire future generations.

TSF is honored to announce the establishment of the Paul Haynes Memorial Fund. This scholarship fund honors Paul, a Master Diesel Mechanic, who believed in the value of education and hands-on learning and readily shared his expertise with others in his field.

TSF proudly administers over 635 scholarship funds established to honor individuals, families, and organizations—creating lasting legacies while supporting the educational pursuits of Wakefield students pursuing education after high school. TSF is proud to announce the Michael J. Skeldon Fund.

This TSF permanent fund honors Mike Skeldon—an MIT-trained architect whose work helped shape the Tufts campus, including the installation of the iconic “Jumbo” statue. Beyond his professional impact, Mike and his family were dedicated supporters of the TSF Trivia Team Challenge, participating for many years and claiming the championship trophy twice.

The Michael J. Skeldon Fund will support students in their academic explorations, carrying forward Mike’s spirit of curiosity and creativity
