The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield (TSF), Massachusetts - A non-profit community organization that helps Wakefield students meet the costs of higher education. Funds are provided by: Donations from Individuals, Groups, Businesses and Organizations; Memorials, Trusts or Bequests; Fundraising Events; and Income Earned on Investments.

🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 Bill Spaulding Merit Award recipients!

This award honors the legacy of Bill Spaulding, a devoted friend and benefactor of The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield. For 42 years, Bill served as a director and financial leader, helping shape TSF’s mission of supporting local students.

Each year, seven outstanding students are selected for this award in recognition of their exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and involvement in extracurricular activities.

🎓 TSF is proud to announce the establishment of the Babb Family Fund.

Created by the Babb family to honor their deep roots in Wakefield, this fund celebrates a legacy of community involvement, service, and hometown pride.

Once the fund reaches a permanent level of $10,000, it will provide an annual scholarship to a Wakefield student pursuing education beyond high school.

TSF is proud to announce the establishment of the Dennis and Lois O’Leary Fund. 🎓💙
Dennis O’Leary was a longtime Wakefield educator who served as Asst. Principal at WMHS from 1995 to 2016. His name is synonymous with the phrases: “It’s A Great Day To Be A Warrior” and “Fill In Your Dash.”

Through this scholarship, Dennis and Lois hope to inspire future recipients to live with optimism, lead with kindness, and make the most of every opportunity.

Beginning in June 2026, this scholarship will support a Wakefield student pursuing education beyond high school. A longtime Greenwood resident, Mary Jo was deeply devoted to her family, friends, and community. Through this scholarship, her legacy of kindness, compassion, and service will continue to inspire future generations.

TSF is honored to announce the establishment of the Paul Haynes Memorial Fund. This scholarship fund honors Paul, a Master Diesel Mechanic, who believed in the value of education and hands-on learning and readily shared his expertise with others in his field.

TSF proudly administers over 635 scholarship funds established to honor individuals, families, and organizations—creating lasting legacies while supporting the educational pursuits of Wakefield students pursuing education after high school.
