On Wednesday, May 20, the Town of Wakefield and Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce will host a free seminar for our business community at the Americal Civic Center. This session will focus on the local, state, and federal resources available to spur business growth. The seminar will take place from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and coffee will be provided. The Civic Center is located at 467 Main Street.
Attendees will hear insights from Lisa Gonzalez Welch from the U.S. Small Business Administration and Nancy L. Gerardi from the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center. These experts will teach our local business community how to access capital and financing opportunities, take advantage of free business advising and technical assistance, navigate regulations and permitting processes, strengthen business planning and operations, and more.
This event is part of the Wakefield Speaker Series, an initiative made possible with support from the Wakefield Economic Development Council. It is free to all local businesses; attendees do not need to be Chamber of Commerce members to attend.
Anyone with questions about the Wakefield Speaker Series can contact Erin Kokinda, Wakefield’s Planning and Community Development Director, at 781-246-6397.
