🏆 Congratulations to our St. Louis County 4-H'ers! 🏆

Four youth from St. Louis County 4-H participated in the Minnesota 4-H State Fair Minnesota Meats Grilling Competition!

Through this competition, 4-H'ers learn about the importance of quality in meat products from birth to plate. Working in teams of three to four members, they prepare a Minnesota-grown meat product that is nutritious, appealing, and consumer-friendly. Participants can choose from beef, dairy, swine, sheep, meat or dairy goat, rabbit, or poultry.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Asher A., Lilianna A., Kaylee G., and Madeline G. on placing 1st! 🥇🔥

🐷🏆 Reserve Champion! 🏆🐷

What an incredible accomplishment for Madeline G. at the 4-H Showcase during the Minnesota State Fair! She received Reserve Champion with her spot breeding gilt! 🎉

We couldn’t be more proud of the dedication, hard work, and time she has put into this project. From early mornings to long days of caring for and working with her gilt, Madeline’s commitment truly paid off.

The future is bright! 🌞 St. Louis County 4-H livestock show saw a record-breaking turnout this year, with young leaders showcasing their talents in Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Dairy Goat, Meat Goat, Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep, and Swine. The grand finale featured an impressive 31 youth competing in the St. Louis County 4-H Supreme Showmanship Round Robin! 💪

This year, 130 amazing young minds from St. Louis County 4-H shone bright at the ! 🌟 Of those 130, 70 talented individuals took part in general 4-H project judging, along with 27 enthusiastic cloverbuds. Today we mourn the loss of an American icon, a beloved philanthropist and a proud 4-H alumna, Dolly Parton. Her extraordinary life was defined not only by her incredible talent, but by her unwavering generosity, compassion and commitment to helping others.

For generations of young people, Dolly embodied what it means to use your gifts in service of others. From her roots in 4-H to her lifelong investment in literacy, education and community, she showed us that true leadership is grounded in humility, kindness, and purpose. As Dolly once said, "storms make trees take deeper roots." 💚

A proud 4-H alumna, she reminded us that challenges can strengthen us and help us grow. That wisdom will continue to inspire young people and communities for generations to come. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and the millions whose lives she touched. Her legacy of hope, generosity, and service will live on. 🍀
