Thank you to OLGC : Thank you to OLGC for allowing CHO to collect gift cards and donations for our annual Christmas Store provided to needy families in this area. We collected over $5,400 in gift cards and donations.

As you know, in addition to toys for children under age 9, we provide grocery cards to families for holiday meals and gift cards for parents to purchase presents for older children. Last year (see below) our Christmas program helped over 180 families (almost 500 people).

Help CHO – Help CHO by buying a reusable bag at Giant this August!

CHO has been selected to partner with the Giant Food Community Bag Program! CHO will receive $1 for every $2.75 reusable Giant Food Community Bag sold during all of August at the GIANT food store located at 359 Maple Avenue, East Vienna VA.

This program not only promotes sustainability by reducing plastic waste but also provides a meaningful opportunity to grow awareness and support for our mission within the community.

It’s that simple, and it adds up fast!

If you’re able, please buy a bag and help spread the word.

At our last Board meeting, Steward and Marlyn Gordon, David Wilson, and Sandra Frederick gave a brief presentation about the inaugural Vienna Robert Burns Ball held at the Vienna Moose Lodge on Jan 24, 2026. The Ball included a silent auction; and they presented a check to CHO for $2849.06.

As Scotland's national poet himself said, "The heart benevolent and kind, The most resembles God.” Thank you !

We are excited that Giant Food has selected CHO to benefit from the Community Bag Program throughout the month of MARCH.

Every time a $2.75 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Vienna Giant located at 359 Maple Ave E., $1 will be donated to CHO. This is a great way to broaden awareness of our mission and help our cause.

Please buy a bag, and share the news with friends and family!

Thanks, Anne Moran, CHO Publicity
