The Maria Mitchell Chapter and Fairfax Chapter are supporting the American Redcross Blooddrive tomorrow at the Church of the Holy Comforter!

Stop by and donate July 23 from 10am - 3pm!

Summer months is when donations tend to drop. We are hoping for 28 to 35 donors to help!

On Sunday June 14th, Maria Mitchell Chapter participated in two amazing Flag Day Celebrations!

First, we headed to Chesterbrook Residences for a Flag Changing Ceremony and Bench Dedication. Maria Mitchell donated a new American Flag and Virginia State Flag. The Bench is a Trex Bench that was earned by Maria Mitchell Chapter and Fairfax Chapter in 2022 when we completed the Trex Challenge of collecting 1,00 pounds of plastic bags and film.

Then we headed to the Freeman Store and Museum for a Flag Day Celebration and Colonial Fair with Historic Vienna Inc, Vienna250!, and Fairfax Chapter. Maria Mitchell Chapter Members ran the Silhouette activity and helped with the children activities. A highlight of the event was meeting General and Mrs. Washington.

Thank you to all members who showed up and participated in either event!

At our March 2026 Meeting the Maria Mitchell Chapter, NSDAR voted to adopt the following Resolution of Support and Confidence for President General Virginia Storage's Administration and Honorary President General Pamela Wright's Administration.
