SCRAP METAL DRIVE (residents do not need to be a Vienna resident to donate scrap): The HERD Foundation is organizing its first fundraiser on May 16th, 2026 in conjunction with Vienna Cleanup Day to kickoff the Booster Field Track Project. The event will collect scrap metal, such as electric cords and appliances, with proceeds going to the track fund. We extend our gratitude to Vienna Township Trustees Mike Haddle, Kim Ellis, and Phil Pegg. I would also like to acknowledge Heidi Brown, HERD Foundation President for her support of commitee endeavors and HERD volunteers.
If you have scrap metal you that you would like picked up before then please contact Mike Haddle at 330-367-9035
Thank you for supporting our kids!
NOTE: this scrap drive does not cost either township anything. In fact, the community benefits by having less items in the landfill. Trustee Mike Haddle donates the use of his truck, trailer, time to sort metals for higher prices, and the gas to go to the scrap yard. Last year, we had over 12 volunteers helping with this project and people also dropped off snacks, water and gloves.

Just some reminders now that Spring clean up time is coming. It’s a group effort to keep our community clean. Here are some ways you can help and turn that trash into cash to help others!
1)The recycling bins are located by the VFD. They only take certain items as listed on the front of each bin. Items they don’t acccept can be taken to Clover recycling.
2)Michael Haddle accepts scrap metal and converts it into cash for the Mathews Playground Project.
3)The VFD has a trailer behind the fire station to collect aluminum beverage cans that funds special projects.
4)VCAC is also working hard to clean up Vienna
