Today's Hometown Art Auction featured artist is Lily Eldridge. 🚀

Lily is a student at the Madeira School and a lifelong resident of Vienna. Lily's interests are photography, studio art, creative writing, and journalism. Lily has been published in The Words Faire and she is the recipient of a 2026 Scholastic Art Honorable Mention award. Lily recently interned in Senator Tim Kaine's office on Capitol Hill and she has been running her own pet and child sitting service, Starling Sitters, for the past five years. In addition, Lily has been a regular volunteer at Holy Comforter Church's Hogwarts Vacation Bible School since 2021. 🚀

Lily's Artemis was painted in the naïve style to connect technological achievement with a personal experience of wonder and amazement. She shared that she is so grateful for the opportunity to participate in Rustic Love's auction - and we are grateful for her time and energy towards her art and our mission! Thank you, Lily! 🚀

Meet today’s featured artist in the Rustic Love Hometown Art Auction: Anna McDonald! 💚🌎

Anna is a Spanish teacher at James Madison High School ❤️🖤 and brings creativity and heart into everything she does. In her free time, she sings a ca****la, plays and watches soccer (go Washington Spirit! ⚽), and loves spending time with her two nephews.

Anna also enjoys creating personalized gifts and handmade items for family and friends, and recently participated in her very first craft fair. Her passion for equity in education closely aligns with Rustic Love’s mission, as she understands firsthand that addressing food insecurity is essential for children to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Her beautiful auction piece, Common Ground, reflects a message of inclusivity, connection, and community — values that are at the heart of Rustic Love’s mission. Anna shared that she feels honored to use her art to support such an important cause, and we are equally honored to feature her work in this year’s auction.

Today’s Rustic Love Hometown Art Auction artist spotlight features Jordann Franks! 🎨🍉

Jordann is a lifelong Vienna resident who developed her love of art while taking art classes all four years at Madison High School. ❤️🖤 She later graduated from BYU with a teaching degree and now teaches PE and Health at the “rival” Oakton High School. 💛❤️

These days, Jordann uses art as a creative outlet and a way to unwind from her busy schedule. Her playful personality shines through in her cheerful Rustic Love watermelon sign — and considering watermelon is her favorite food, we’d say the theme is absolutely perfect! 🍉

We love the whimsy, color, and joy of Jordann’s piece and are so grateful she shared her talents with our auction to help support our mission to fight food insecurity in our community. Thank you, Jordann! 💚🩷

Today's featured Hometown Art Auction artist is Liz DiFrancisco. 🌸

Liz is a local Vienna resident who is a dabbler in many things. She paints in watercolor, acrylic and alcohol inks. She also gardens and runs both the Vienna VA Plant Swap and the Lake Anna Area Plant Swap pages. She is an avid volunteer, lending her time and talents to both Boy and Girl Scouts, gardening clubs at Louise Archer and Thoreau, coaching in VYS and VGSL and working for VYS, VLL, VGSL and GVBRL and Rustic Love. In her free time she also fosters puppies and raises chickens. 🌸 If you're ever in a pinch, call Liz and she will show up promptly to help and will have all the tools to fix it!

Welcome to today’s featured artist profile for the Rustic Love Hometown Art Auction: Heather Pressler! 🩷

Inspired by the lyrics of America the Beautiful, Heather’s piece reflects a vision of unity and celebrates the diversity, resilience, and shared beauty of our country as we look ahead to the next 250 years. 🇺🇸

Heather formally trained in art from childhood in Honolulu through her college years at MIT. Working primarily in acrylic and watercolor, her artwork has been featured and sold throughout the local arts community. The inspiration behind her Rustic Love sign is deeply personal, shaped by her experiences as an active-duty military spouse and as the founder of the purpose-driven marketing agency, BlueHuki. 💙

We are so grateful to Heather for sharing her incredible talent to help raise funds for our mission to support food-insecure neighbors in our community. And yes — we absolutely love those purple mountain majesties! ⛰️💜

Today's featured artist from the Rustic Love Hometown Art Auction is Mary Bockenek, whose sign has the highest bid as of this morning! 😍

Mary is a Great Falls based artist who works in a variety of media including watercolor and acrylic. She studied studio art and visual communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 🩵 She taught art for twelve years before she began raising three budding artists of her own. Their daily adventures inspire much of her work. 🩵

Mary’s Rustic Love sign, Pink Lemonade, is inspired by the vibrant beauty of Pink Lemonade tulips, known for their soft pink petals that deepen at the edges with touches of light yellow at their base. The result is a joyful, colorful piece that radiates warmth and happiness — just like Mary’s artwork itself! 💛🩷

Today’s Hometown Art Auction artist spotlight features Helen Schindler. 🎨💛

Helen began painting in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to relax and stay grounded. What started as a personal creative outlet soon grew into a meaningful artistic practice. Working primarily with acrylics, Helen explores color, fluidity, and simplicity, finding both calm and expression through each piece she creates. 🧡

Helen is an especially meaningful artist in this year’s auction because she has contributed not one, but three beautiful pieces: Hope, Love, and Joy. 💚

She is also a longtime Rustic Love volunteer who has generously dedicated her time and talents to our organization for the past six years. From sign builds and ornament painting to serving as a community advisor for our mission, Helen has been an important part of the Rustic Love story from the very beginning. 💟

We are so grateful to feature her beautiful artwork in this auction and deeply thankful for the countless hours, creativity, and heart she has poured into Rustic Love over the years. 🩵

Welcome to today’s Sneak Peek for the Rustic Love Hometown Art Auction! 🎨💛 Today we are thrilled to feature textile printmaker, artist, and educator Chitra Sharma.

Chitra grew up in the UK, where she studied Textile Design and Printmaking in college. She now lives in Vienna and teaches printmaking and other forms of art through her company, Noctiluna. For the past fourteen years, she has also led a Summer Creativity Camp for children in Vienna, inspiring young artists to explore their creativity. 👩🏽‍🎨

Her own fine art practice focuses on painting and embroidery, and she currently has work on exhibit at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA. In addition, Chitra designs, prints, and sells clothing for babies and children at local boutiques and markets. 👕

In 2026, Chitra became the inaugural Tinkerer in Residence at the National Children’s Museum in Washington, DC, where she continues pursuing her dream of passing on a love of art, design, and creative tinkering to future generations. 💛

We are so honored to have her beautiful piece, Beach House, featured in this year’s auction. Chitra is truly an immense talent, and we are grateful for her support of our mission to fight food insecurity in our community. 💛

Today’s Auction Sneak Peek features Vienna resident Jules Breher! 🎨🤎

Jules has lived in Northern Virginia her entire life and has called Vienna home for the past ten years. She attended the Corcoran School of the Arts and built a career in interior design. In recent years, she has explored a wide variety of creative passions including miniatures, painting, pottery, and fused glass. 🤎

Her beautiful auction piece, Lovebirds, features two sweet birds alongside a three-dimensional Rustic Love heart — a charming and heartfelt design that perfectly captures the spirit of the auction. 🤎

We’re so grateful to Jules for sharing her creativity and talent to help support our mission to fight food insecurity in our community. 🤎
