Addiction is usually misunderstood. Often, the person themselves is misunderstood.
Family and close friends struggle to grasp that someone on methadone or suboxone is still a good person. Yes, many take advantage of the medication, but they are still in their addiction, so what do you expect? Some great people are trying to get better.
