Future deputies, this workout is for you. 💪

If you're working toward becoming a Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputy, join us for Fit for the Badge—a chance to practice the physical ability test before your official test day.

📅 September 17 | 6–7 p.m.
📍 Southwest Washington Regional Law Enforcement Academy
4400 NE 122nd Ave., Vancouver

This free practice session is open to CCSO deputy applicants who have passed the pre-screen, even if you're still in the backgrounds process.

Come practice the physical ability test, build confidence and get a look at our local law enforcement academy.

Want to attend? Start at GoCCSO.com and complete the pre-screen. Eligible candidates will receive an invitation with signup information once details are finalized. Registration will be required to attend.

👟 Come ready to work out! Athletic attire is recommended.

Our CCSO Explorers had a great time helping deputies practice their drone skills!

Drones have become a valuable tool for locating suspects, finding lost children and vulnerable adults, and assisting with search-and-rescue missions. Like any skill, operating a drone effectively takes practice—and our Explorers were happy to help!

Explorers volunteered to ride bikes through neighborhoods while deputies used drones to locate them and direct units to their locations. We also hid inside buildings and challenged the deputies to find us without being spotted by the drone. 👀🚁

It was great training for our deputies, a great learning experience for our Explorers, and—most importantly—a whole lot of fun!

On Saturday, some of our CCSO Explorers had the opportunity to help the Major Crimes Cold Case Team with an evidence search. This was a great opportunity for them to learn about evidence searches, working as a team, and never giving up to close a case. Well done Explorers.

At last night’s meeting, our Explorers spent two hours learning how to properly clean, maintain, and care for fi****ms. Safety, responsibility, and taking care of your equipment are all important parts of becoming a well-rounded Explorer.
