Last night I went to a friends house and helped grill enough hot dogs to feed a small army as they were hosting a volunteer appreciation event in the backyard. However, what I got to experience was beautiful and touched my heart!

What started with just 10 kids, 2 moms, 1 soccer ball, and a heart to serve has grown into something making an enormous impact. Soccer in the Park is a Christ-centered sports outreach ministry dedicated to serving the youth of Clark County, Washington. Their vision is to restore and transform lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ by building community, sharing hope, and cultivating a loving environment while introducing kids to sports.

Tonight I heard story after story of the impact of this ministry from leaders, volunteers and kids. I also heard the names Courtney and Ben Lo over and over again thanking them for their vision, passion and leadership. It is with a full heart I was able to issue Courtney a Kindness Citation for their humble service, powerful vision and massive impact on our community. Well done!!!

👆 To every volunteer who showed up to help at Soccer in the Park 2026… this post is for YOU. 💙

There are so many people who poured their hearts into making our 2026 summer camps possible, and we couldn’t let this summer end without recognizing the incredible volunteers who served both behind the scenes and on the front lines. Some of you even traveled from out of state and flew in just to volunteer at camp. That kind of sacrifice and dedication is something we’ll never take for granted.

A huge shoutout to Rudy, who kept the energy high as our MC for all three camps and made every day so much fun! 🎤

Thank you to Gen, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes coordinating donated lunches to make sure both campers and volunteers were fed each day.

To our amazing registration team, security team, craft and snack station volunteers, pod leaders, small group leaders, ASL translators, skills and scrimmage leaders, nurse station, and counselors—thank you for faithfully serving wherever you were needed. Every role mattered, and every one of you helped create an unforgettable experience for our campers.

A special thank you to Denny, who captured all three weeks through his camera. Because of you, we’ll always have these incredible memories to look back on. 📸

And finally, a heartfelt thank you to Courtney, Ben, and the boys, whose vision and leadership make these camps possible. What many people don’t see are the months of preparation, the late nights, the early mornings, and the countless hours poured into every detail. Thank you for faithfully leading this ministry and for your unwavering commitment to reaching kids and families with the love of Jesus.

Every conversation, every meal served, every game led, every smile shared, and every prayer prayed helped point kids to Jesus. Thank you for serving so faithfully and for making an eternal impact. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️🏈⚽

The camps may be over, but our gratitude is just beginning. 💙🙌

As we look back on an incredible summer, we want to recognize the amazing volunteers including our junior volunteers who made all three camps possible. Your willingness to serve, encourage, lead, and love our campers made a lasting impact that will extend far beyond a single week of camp.

That’s a wrap on Camp 3… and with it, all of our 2026 summer camps! 🏈💙

We can’t believe another incredible summer has come to an end! Our final day of Football Camp was packed with fun as campers stayed cool with water-filled team-building games, volunteers wrapped up the week with a friendly scrimmage of their own, and everyone enjoyed one last day of making memories together.

A huge thank you to Buffalo Wild Wings for coming back a second time this summer to serve lunch to our campers and volunteers! Your generosity, kindness, and willingness to personally serve everyone made such an impact, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support.

As we look back on all three camps, our hearts are full. We are thankful for every camper who joined us, every volunteer who gave their time and energy, every family who trusted us with their kids, and every sponsor who helped make these weeks possible. Watching friendships grow, confidence build, and lives impacted by the Gospel has been the greatest blessing. We praise God for an amazing summer and can’t wait to see what He has in store next year!

Day 2 of Football Camp is complete! 🏈🙌

Our campers had another great day playing flag football, building teamwork skills, making new friends, and learning more about the love of Jesus! 💙

A huge thank you to Jersey Mike's Subs for generously providing free subs for all of our campers and staff! 🥪 Everyone worked up an appetite after such an active day, and the sandwiches were definitely enjoyed. We are so grateful for your continued generosity and support of our camps!

Camp 3 is underway, and Football Camp is off to an amazing start! 🏈🙌

Day 1 was packed with energy, laughter, and plenty of fun as our campers and volunteers hit the field for flag football! The kids worked on new skills, practiced teamwork, encouraged one another, and made great memories together. We also spent intentional time in small groups, building relationships and continuing to share the love of Jesus both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to Domino's Pizza Pizza for generously donating lunch for all our hungry campers and volunteers! 🍕 After such a busy, action-packed day, everyone was excited to refuel. We’re incredibly grateful for your continued kindness and support!

We couldn’t have asked for a better first day and can’t wait to see what the rest of Football Camp brings! 🏈

That’s a wrap on Camp 2… and just like that, both weeks of soccer camp have come to an end! ⚽️💙

It’s hard to believe how quickly these two weeks flew by. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for every camper, family, volunteer, and sponsor who helped make this summer so special.

Over the course of both camps, we watched campers grow in confidence, improve their soccer skills, step outside of their comfort zones, and form friendships that we hope will last far beyond camp. The greatest joy of all was having the opportunity to share the love of Jesus every single day. Seeing campers ask questions about their faith, and even witnessing some make the decision to give their lives to Christ and be baptized, is the greatest win we could ever celebrate! 🙌💙

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, both those who serve locally and those who traveled from near and far to be with us. Your hearts for serving, encouraging, coaching, and loving these kids made an eternal impact, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Wingstop for not only providing lunch for the masses but also sticking around to serve our campers and volunteers. Your generosity and willingness to invest in our camp means more than you know, and we are so grateful for your support!

As we close the chapter on another amazing year of soccer camps, we’re already looking ahead with excitement. Football Camp is up next, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store next week. Here’s to more fun, more friendships, and more opportunities to share the love of Jesus! 🏈✨

Day 2 of Camp 2 is in the books, and what an amazing day it was! ⚽️🙌 We can’t believe we’re already nearing the end of another incredible week of Soccer in the Park!

Today was filled with lots of smiles, laughter, and excitement as our campers continued building their soccer skills, competing in games and scrimmages, making new friends, and growing together through our theme, Hear, Know, Follow Jesus. It’s been so encouraging to watch their confidence grow both on and off the field, and we’re loving every minute of it!

A huge THANK YOU to Jersey Mike’s for coming out and supporting our camp again this year! 🥪💙 Our campers and volunteers absolutely scarfed down the sandwiches, and we are so thankful for your generosity and continued partnership. Your support helps make weeks like this possible, and we truly appreciate you!

Alright, alright, alright… Camp 2 is officially underway! ⚽️🎉

We captured so many great moments from Day 1, and what an incredible way to kick off another amazing week of Soccer in the Park! It was such a joy welcoming a whole new group of campers, along with some familiar faces, as we got to know one another and jumped right into all the fun.

A huge THANK YOU to Domino's Pizza 🍕 and Kona Ice of Evergreen Orchards 🍧 for generously donating treats for our campers and volunteers today! Your kindness and support helped keep everyone fueled and refreshed after a fun-filled, action-packed day, and we are so grateful for your generosity!

Day 1 was one to remember, and if it’s any indication of what’s to come, Camp 2 is going to be an incredible week. We can’t wait to see what God has in store over the next few days! 💙⚽️

That’s a wrap on Camp 1! ⚽️

We can’t believe how quickly these three days flew by! What an incredible week filled with laughter, learning, new friendships, and so many opportunities to grow together.

Our final day was the perfect way to end an amazing week. Campers enjoyed snacks and crafts, continued sharpening their soccer skills, and had a great time making memories together. We were also blessed to have Mr. Rudy share God’s Word with our campers. Thank you for delivering such an encouraging message and reminding us what it means to Hear, Know, and Follow Jesus. 🙌

A huge THANK YOU goes out to every one of our incredible volunteers who poured into Camp 1. Whether you served locally or traveled from across the country to be with us, your time, energy, and love made this week possible.
