Washington State DSHS - Developmental Disabilities Administration's regional Community Engagement Forums offer an opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities and their families to share suggestions about service delivery and processes directly with regional leadership and staff.
Participants will also be able to provide input on changes currently under consideration. This is your chance to improve programs for the people who use these services and the families who support them. The next meeting for the SW Washington region is TODAY, Thursday, August 27, from 4 - 6:30pm.

Columbia River Area, Special Olympics Washington Bowling practices begin Sunday, August 30, 2026, which is the last day to sign up.

• Participants must be cleared through the season through SOWA's portal to participate.
• The SOWA Portal link is in the comments.
• Location: Hazel Dell Lanes, 6300 HWY 99, Vancouver, WA. (same lanes as last year)
• Practice Day: Sundays
• Time: 12:00 PM–2:00 PM OR 2:30pm-4:30pm

Important: Please remember that Columbia River Area, Special Olympics Washington does NOT have the bowling alley before or after the scheduled shifts. They ask everyone to be mindful and respectful of the bowlers who are using the lanes before and after their practice times. To help with this, please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled shift and leave promptly when your shift is over.

• Location: Bagley Field, 4607 Plomondon St., Vancouver, WA (same field as last year)
• Practice Day: Saturdays
• Time: 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Regionals: November 7, 2026

Important: Participants must have cleats and mouth guards in order to participate. Athletes/unified partners are also expected to be actively involved in warm-ups, drills, and scrimmages during practice.
