Please welcome our new member, (L) Kristen Berglin as she’s inducted by Membership Chair Susan Anderson. Kristen is a Registered nurse. She was President of our Venture Club, but stepped away when Venture merged with our Soroptimist club as her husband Adam was diagnosed with cancer. She and Adam went through this journey together and have published a book for other people diagnosed, it is “ Navigating a New Cancer Diagnosis”
This is who Kristen is, a loving and caring woman that helps others. Welcome Kristen to Soroptimist Int’l of Burlington 💙💛💙

Soroptimist's Live Your Dream Awards program is a unique education award for women who provide the primary financial support for their families. The Live Your Dream Awards give women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.

Susan K Ragan Scholarship in honor of our member that passed away, giving back to Soroptimist for 40 years. Susan was instrumental in starting our Bayview Women’s Run with a heart for giving back to Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services and to women’s health, making a difference with dollars raised. She continues to help others through this scholarship. See application online on our website.

Our SI Burlington September 2026
Student of the Month is Dolores Medina, of Burlington-Edison High School.

Her teachers tell us that Dolores is a constant positive presence on campus. She is kind to everyone and always willing to help. She is involved in cheer at the high school and also on a select team outside of school.

Dolores is involved in nearly everything. She's a leader among her peers and the school. She's always willing to help out and loves to see others succeed. Not only is she active around campus, she runs maybe a dozen different school social media accounts and helps provide entertaining content and communication that meets the students needs.

She is a hard worker, has a positive attitude, and is literally everywhere on campus. She is super involved and a great representative of what it means to be a B-E Tiger.
