Great meeting today! Ian H served as Toastmasters with the theme - thinking on our feet! We had a lively debate about how the toilet paper should be turned (toward you, of course); Ron spoke extemporaneously on his birthday with words of wisdom; Holli kept time and spoke authoritatively on the metric system; Jen stepped up to create extemporanous table topics; Kyle evaluated his first speech; Laura kept track of our ums and ahs; Shar picked the longest word of the day (extemporaneous); David enjoyed the sounds; and Rebecca gave us a glowing General Evaluation. We'd love for you to join us in two weeks!

Fantastic meeting today! Ian S. served as Toastmaster for the first time and did an excellent job! Ron inspired with his history of Cinco de Mayo while Ian H. made us laugh about being corrected by his 6 year old; Kyle did an excellent job timing and Laura counting all our filler words! Doug stepped into serve as Grammarian and David served as General Evaluator. Shar gave a 21 minute keynote from Level 5 Motivating Strategies and Holli provided invaluable feedback on how to improve it. Thank you for everyone who participated in the table topics and Rebecca for leading us and inspiring us to think about what kind of salsa we would be. Join us in two weeks!

🎤 Why Toastmasters?

Most people join Toastmasters because they want to be better at public speaking.
They stay because it changes how they communicate everywhere else.

You learn how to:
• organize your thoughts clearly
• speak with confidence—even when you’re put on the spot
• give and receive feedback that actually helps you grow
• lead meetings and communicate with purpose

But the real benefit?
You start showing up differently—in conversations, at work, and in the way you carry yourself.

It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about getting better, one speech at a time.

Curious what that looks like? Come visit us.
