Hello everyone.

Here is an email from a student and is asking for support. The information is right below.

My name is Malachi Simpson, and I am one of the many students from SVC.

Recently I have created a new non-profit organization named "Speak Power and Revive Community", dedicated to the empowerment and inclusion of marginalized people through community action, outreach, and love. Our first main goal is to establish and present a petition regarding our opposition to the new administration. (I will send this petition as a file within this email).

I need the help of the Calling All Colors club. As a white man, I cannot accurately represent all of the voices in our community. It is not fair for me to be the voice for hardships I will never experience. I am looking to get more people involved, so that I might turn the organization into more of a peer-driven community group. I know this is last minute, but tomorrow we are holding a public forum at the Skagit PUD at 3:30. We are looking for speakers, no more than 5-10 minutes, who would be willing to voice their experience with the new administration, as well as give insight as to how we can move forward and work together as a community. This is where we will present the petition, and open the forum for public comment in case we are not inclusive enough.

Anybody is welcome to come speak, including yourself if you're interested. Is there anyway you could forward this email to people within the club? Or perhaps direct me to some people who may be able to help?

Hello SVC Studnets.
LOCARNO will be peforming THIS FRIDAY MAY 6, 7:30pm

Locarno is the Latin project of Juno award winning musician and Paperboys frontman, Tom Landa. The music,
like him, is part Mexican but with strong doses of Cuban Son, Folk Music, Pop and Funk. There are threads of
Son Jarocho and Salsa but the songs are more edgy and contemporary than that. The music could be compared
to Manu Chao, Ozomatli or Rodrigo and Gabriela but although there are similarities it is truly original and a new
flavour in the Latin music genre.
