Alumni House Manager

The Alumni Executive Board is seeking to fill the position of Alumni House Manager. This is a Board appointed position, which is a voluntary and non compensated position. It is a great way to help our Chapter!

The Alumni House Manager coordinates repairs and maintenance with the Active House Manager. In the event of unexpected repairs, you will hire local contractors while working with the Board to manage costs. You will be expected to attend our virtual Board meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 8:00 pm central time. (Meetings usually last about thirty minutes.) You will also coordinate the annual summer work day at the house with the Actives and participating Alumni brothers. This is a key role as we plan for the future of Phi Upsilon Chapter while managing a 118 year old house.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.

Brotherhood is more than the moments we celebrate together. It's also about being there for one another during life's challenges.

A simple text, phone call, or conversation can make a bigger impact than you realize. Be sure to take a moment to check in on your brothers this month, and every month.

Research continues to show that meaningful connections and strong support systems play an important role in overall well-being. Sometimes, simply reaching out and letting someone know you're there can make all the difference.

Real brotherhood means showing up for one another.

The Alumni Executive Board extends its best wishes and gratitude to Brother Bill Thiel as he has concluded his six years of service as Alumni House Manager so he can begin an exciting new chapter in his life.

Despite living near Milwaukee, Bill devoted many hours to making repairs to the house without much fanfare. Painting, installing new interior doors, replacing windows, fixing leaky showers, replacing light fixtures, and coordinating other repairs with local contractors are just a few of the examples of Bill’s commitment to the Phi Upsilon Chapter. Many of these repairs were paid for by Bill, who often refused reimbursement. He did his best to keep the house in shape for the Actives.

Thank you, Brother Bill! Damn Proud!

An updated email has been sent this afternoon with a link to our Teams meeting for Saturday’s annual Alumni Association meeting scheduled for 4:00 pm CDT. We will share updates about the chapter and elections will take place as well.

Elections will occur for President (3 year term), Treasurer (3 year term), and an open member at large position (2 year term). Please consider becoming an integral part of our team. Some important decisions will need to be made in the next two years and we are committed to doing what’s best for the Phi Upsilon Chapter in a transparent manner.
