Galatians 6:9 "Let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up."🌾

The most meaningful work often happens one small step at a time. A kind word. A prayer. A gift. A note of encouragement. Each one matters.🥰

God calls us to remain faithful even when we cannot see the whole picture. As we continue supporting our University, we trust that God is using our efforts to bless students today and for years to come. This week, take one small step to encourage someone connected to our University. You never know how God will use your kindness.🤎💛

Some of our wonderful Guild members with President Rev. Brian Konkol and Vice President for Advancement John Prizner III during Homecoming '26! ✨🤎💛

We’re grateful for the opportunity to gather, reconnect, and celebrate the Valpo community together.🥰

The Guild Bylaws were also updated this year to better reflect current practices, including modernizing the balloting process, streamlining language for greater clarity, and more clearly defining terms of service for members of the Board of Directors.

The updated Bylaws will be available for members to review through a link in our next Guild newsletter.🤓

We’re pleased to share the results of our fall election for the 2027 Guild Board of Directors! 🎉

Congratulations to returning Board members Beth Walden ’83 and Christine Rechsteiner ’95, who were re-elected for another term, and a warm welcome to Ryan Schwartz ’22, who will be joining the Board for the first time!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s election, and to Beth, Christine, and Ryan for their willingness to serve the Valpo Guild. 💛🤎

In addition to our Guild Gift Grants, the Guild was pleased to fund several other initiatives benefiting Valpo students, including Water Filling Stations, Spring Break Service Trips, and WAVES International Service Projects.

Together with our Gift Grants, the Guild awarded $33,175 toward student activities and initiatives this year!🎉

We’re proud to continue the Guild’s longstanding legacy of supporting Valpo students through faithful stewardship and the generosity of our members and donors. 💛🤎

If you couldn’t join us at Homecoming for our Guild Annual Meeting, we’ll share highlights from our Annual Meeting presentation over the next week or so, along with the results of our fall ballot.

We’re excited to begin by recognizing the four recipients of our Guild Gift Grants, selected through this year’s fall ballot!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote. We’re also deeply grateful for the generations of faithful Guild donors whose generosity has built the endowments that make these gifts possible. 💛🤎

Thank you to all of our Valpo Guild members who joined us at The Bell & Beacon! We were especially grateful to have President Rev. Brian Konkol stop by and spend some time with us. And we were thrilled to welcome six new Guild members! 😀🎉

We also loved hearing such a positive response to the new format for our Annual Meeting. Thank you for your continued support, fellowship, and commitment to the Valpo Guild. 💛🤎 Spread the word about the Guild, and let’s be perpetuators of positivity as we keep the excitement and momentum from Homecoming going!

Lamentations 3:22–23: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Every morning is a gift from God. Each new day is filled with fresh opportunities to learn, serve, and grow. 🌱
God's faithfulness never changes, and that gives us every reason to look ahead with hope. Our University has a bright future because of people who care deeply about its mission. Every prayer, every word of encouragement, every act of generosity, and every gift of time helps make a difference in the lives of our students.

Today, thank God for a new day and ask how you can be a blessing to our University community. Together, we can continue building a place where faith, learning, and service flourish.🙏
