Safe Place provides immediate access to safety and support for youth facing challenges such as family conflict, homelessness, abuse, neglect, or other crises. Look for the yellow and black Safe Place sign at participating locations in your community.

When a young person reaches out, they don't have to face their situation alone.

The Porter County Children's Museum is growing, and they need volunteers to help bring hands-on learning experiences to children and families throughout Porter County!

Currently operating as a museum without walls, PCCM brings traveling exhibits to community host sites, making play-based learning accessible to families for free. They’re also expanding their reach with in-school museum field trips, with the goal of opening a permanent location in the future.

Now, they’re looking for volunteers who love to play, encourage curiosity, and help create welcoming, engaging experiences for children and their caregivers.

When our neighbors needed help, our community came together.

United Way Northwest Indiana has helped thousands of residents affected by this year’s storms, connecting eligible households with financial assistance and bringing together the people, resources, and partnerships needed to support recovery. 🫶

We are grateful to NIPSCO for their $25,000 contribution to storm recovery assistance. Support like this helps us continue providing assistance to eligible households whose applications were received during the application period.

🧡 Another successful Day of Caring project with incredible volunteers!

Big shout-out to United Way Northwest Indiana for sending an amazing volunteer team from Larson-Danielson Construction to clean up and organize HealthLinc’s outreach materials in our warehouse as part of their Day of Caring event on Friday, September 18!

Bringing health care into our communities means we have many supplies to store, from tents and promotional items to educational materials and more. Volunteers helped us organize everything, remove damaged items and get ready for future events. 🧹

Thank you for giving your time and energy to support us in our mission to create healthy communities! 💙
