🚨 American Red Cross Disaster Assistance Available

The American Red Cross is providing financial assistance to eligible households in Northwest Indiana impacted by the recent tornadoes and flooding as communities transition from immediate response to recovery.

The Red Cross has completed damage assessments and is actively reaching out to individuals whose homes were confirmed to have been destroyed or sustained major structural damage. If the Red Cross has your contact information, you may receive an email, text message, or phone call with information about accessing assistance.

FEMA disaster assistance is now available. Impacted Hoosiers should visit disasterassistance.gov to submit an application for FEMA Individual Assistance. If individuals need help completing the application, FEMA has established a support hotline at 1‑800‑621‑3362.

Please note that FEMA disaster assistance is separate from the State Disaster Relief Fund. Individuals who have already applied for the State Disaster Relief Fund must also submit a FEMA Individual Assistance application to be considered for federal support. Hadady LLC & Caterpillar are showing what it looks like to build a workplace campaign around community. Their company generously supports United Ways across the country and matches employee gifts dollar for dollar, helping make every contribution go even further.

We’ve loved following their journey so far, from their volunteer project at CROWN POINT CAL RIPKEN YOUTH BASEBALL INC to the many more projects ahead. We can’t wait to see them continue giving back with Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana and the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, as well as take on a project during Day of Caring on September 18.

When disaster strikes, the best way for people to access Eli Lilly and Company medicines is through their usual pharmacy, if it's open. In some circumstances, Lilly activates a voucher program to provide eligible patients with a single, one-time replacement of prescription medication lost as a result of natural disasters. Currently, Lilly has activated the voucher program for eligible patients in the state of Indiana due to flooding.
