The Upper Arlington Civic Association serves the UA community through community events so that families, friends and neighbors can enjoy time together for holiday and civic activities and supports high school students through scholarships and the opportunity to develop leadership experience in our Junior Director program.

To help keep guests moving and reduce wait times, we've made a small change to this year's Golden Bear Scare experience!
Spooky Hours (6:00-7:30 PM)
Guests will now explore the trail at their own pace, making it easier to stop for photos, enjoy the decorations, and interact with our friendly Halloween characters along the way. No jump scares, no chasing, just spooky seasonal fun for the whole family.
Scary Hours (7:30-9:00 PM)
When the sun goes down, the scares begin! Scare Rangers will lead groups through the haunted woods as they uncover the legend of Old Man Smith and encounter the creatures lurking within Smith Nature Park. Guests will experience jump scares, eerie encounters, and the legend of Old Man Smith.
