⭐️ The KMS PTO hosted an end of year Tug of War tournament & shaved ice for Knox Middle School Students yesterday!

🏆 Carmichael's Big Macs 6th Grade class came out as the leader! Who will win the trophy next year?!

🍧 During recess students were treated to Kona Ice of Marshall Co.. ** Special thanks to Mary Lynn & Butch Ritchie and Emily & Dustin Waters families for sponsoring that treat! The kids really enjoyed it!

Thanks to our staff Mr. Carmichael, Mr. Breden & Mr. Jim Condon for facilitating the tournament and Devan Wallen for returning as our MC! You really got the crowd going!

🏆♻️ Big win for our KMS 7th graders! 🏆♻️

To celebrate collecting the most plastic caps from our recycling program (which are turned into awesome new outdoor picnic tables and benches!), our 7th-grade class enjoyed a well-deserved reward this week.

The students voted for Boba Lemonade as their prize and topped it off with an extra recess and indoor activities. It was the perfect way to celebrate their commitment to keeping our planet green.

Special thanks again to a 7th grade parent coordinating with Knox Fertilizer to organize a LARGE donation! Thank you!

Unfortunate announcement is the cancellation of this year's KMS Block Party which was scheduled for May 22. It is our sincere hope to bring the Block Party back at the end of next school year.

🥳 We hope our KMS Teachers and Staff felt appreciated this week! Really, THANK YOU again for all you do everyday!

🙌Thank you to all the parents and grandparents that brought in soup for our soup buffet this week! It was a hit!

👏 Thanks to Shandell Bartoli aka Bianca Rose Floral Design for helping to dish out drinks and snacks from our refreshment cart.

👍 Elizabeth Wallen did a great job on her fresh made gourmet grill cheese and desert options for our luncheon!

🙌 Thanks to Maggie Wampler for putting together some great charcuterie plates to recognize our principals this past week for all of their efforts!

This Friday 5/1!
The KMS PTO will be selling Ice Cream & Brownies for $1 each to 5th- 8th grade students during the lunch hour!

🎉 As a Thank You for helping sort and weigh all those caps during the plastic recycle program, 8th graders will each get One Free Treat of their choice during lunch!

🎉 Thank you to Dr. Thomas Browne for your generous donation to our outdoor project for our KMS students and community!

🎉 THANK YOU to all our donors! We have officially met and exceeded our $50,000 goal and activated the $50,000 matching grant to complete the full project!

✅ Through these donations and grant we will be able to complete the entire Pavilion & Play equipment project for KMS 5th-8th Grade students!
🪏 Stay tuned for updates! Construction is planned for this summer!

As we come into the home stretch of this school year, some teacher's supplies are running low. We've asked them to provide us items that will help them out.

Would you consider donating to these classroom needs?

Instructions:
- Comment on the photo and claim the items you can provide.
- Send items in with your student.
- Students can deliver them to the teacher or you can drop them off in the office marked with the teacher's name.
