Recovery is also learning how to enjoy life again. 🍂

This weekend, staff from our Women’s Freedom Program took the ladies to the fall festival at Hunsader Farms for a day away together, complete with a corn maze, hayride, petting zoo, circus, motorcycle stunt show, and plenty of laughs.

Days like this matter. Recovery isn’t only about staying away from drugs and alcohol. It’s also about building friendships, making memories, trying new things, and discovering that life can be genuinely fun without needing anything to numb it.

We’re looking for a few caring volunteers to spend one hour a month with some pretty great kids. 💙🧡

During our monthly Life Skills classes for families in our Home Again Program (our Permanent Supportive Housing), parents are learning tools that support housing stability and everyday life. While they’re in class, we provide childcare and we need at least two volunteers each monthto help make that possible.

Volunteers will spend time playing games, doing crafts, reading, and simply creating a safe and fun space for the kids.

📅 Third Tuesday of each month
⏰ 6:30–7:30 p.m.
📍 Harvest House Life Enrichment Campus (3650 17th Street, Sarasota, FL)

We’re looking for volunteers who have experience with children and are willing to complete a background check. CPR certification is a plus, but not required.

One hour of your time can make the evening a little easier for a parent working toward stability and a lot more fun for their kids.

A big thank you to Millennium Physician Group and Florida Blue Medicare for bringing fresh produce to Harvest House. 💙🧡

Our clients were able to fill bags with fruits and vegetables to take home, helping make healthy food a little more accessible.

We’re so grateful for community partners who continue to show up for the people we serve.

13 families. 13 new chapters. ❤️

Since July 1, seven Harvest House families have moved into permanent housing, and six more are preparing to move this month!

And there's more good news. Our Diversion Program has secured over $40,000 in assistance, helping 29 families stay in their homes and avoid homelessness.

Behind these numbers are parents working toward stability, children with a safer place to call home, and families building their futures.

A special thank-you to Casey, Jaohnna, and Dani for walking alongside these families every day.

Big news worth celebrating! 🎉
One of our Home Again participants is getting ready to move into her next chapter, and she has a lot to be proud of!
While living in affordable housing through Harvest House (HOME AGAIN program) and taking part in our education track, she completed her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program and passed her nursing boards!
She recently shared these words with our team:
“This program has made the world of difference for me.”
Next week, she'll be moving out of Home Again with a new career ahead of her.
This is what happens when hard work meets stable housing and community support. ❤️
