Two years ago, having a conversation wasn’t easy for Johnathon. Today, you might have a hard time getting him to stop talking. 💚
“He’s really talking,” Celia says. “I don’t think that would have happened without Pathways. I wish we had found it sooner.”
Before Pathways, Johnathon struggled to answer questions and have conversations with others. After losing his dad, he experienced a major setback and became even more withdrawn.
But over the past two years at Pathways, Celia has watched him transform. Today, Johnathon loves talking, asking questions, making friends, and growing in independence. He looks forward to seeing his friends at Pathways and has discovered a new joy in connecting with the people around him.
From struggling to communicate to finding his voice and becoming curious about the world around him, Johnathon’s story is a powerful reminder of what can happen when someone has a place to belong, learn, and grow.

Cooking is a student favorite, and it’s also a great way to practice important life skills. Each week, our classes cook lunch and whip up healthy snacks while learning about nutrition, following recipes, making choices, and becoming more independent.
