Next week at the Tucson Fair Director Conference, we have a special session we are excited to share!

Drawing for scientists: Join master artist Russell Kahn from The Drawing Studio, in this beginning drawing class which focuses on technique and composition, valuable skills researchers use in observation and science communication. Learn the basics of drawing nature—observation, sketching, and notation techniques you can use in fieldwork or research journals. No art background needed. Expect a hands-on, introductory session.

You can learn more about the Fair Director Conference at https://sarsef.org/programs/stem-exploration/fair-director-conferences/

(2) An image with a lighthouse and buildings on a cliff overlooking the sea. In the foreground, a sketch of the lighthouse and buildings is held up to the camera.

Introducing the Science of Kindness with Ben's Bells and SARSEF!

Ben's Bells’ programming is grounded in the science of kindness and research that shows how practicing kindness strengthens individuals, relationships, and communities. Those same principles of curiosity, observation, and evidence are at the heart of science education supported by SARSEF.

We're excited to partner with SARSEF to highlight the incredible work students are doing as they explore the connections between kindness and STEM. Students are investigating how scientific thinking can help us better understand kindness and how kindness can inspire innovative approaches to solving real-world challenges.

By connecting the missions of organizations dedicated to both kindness and science, we're celebrating the powerful intersection of research, learning, and community impact—and the students leading the way
