ICYMI: GALS 2026 is underway! These lovely ladies and their leaders are out in the wilderness for a whole week of leadership, friendship, and women in STEM!

Got plans for November 20th (it's a Friday). NOW YOU DO! We need volunteers to help us at AZ STEM Adventure, one of the largest STEM events in Southern Arizona! Every year, SARSEF welcomes ~1,000 4th-8th grade students to Pima Community College Northwest Campus, where they get to spend a day being scientists and engineers of all kinds.

We need a lot of volunteers to make the day happen. Tell your friends and make it a day of service to help young scientists and engineers explore new topics in STEM and get hands-on beyond the classroom.

Volunteers will be able to help us from 7:30 - 11:15 AM or 10:45 - 2:30 PM on November 20th, 2026.

SARSEF made the trek up to Flagstaff for the a few weeks ago! We brought out our LEGO derby track and did a workshop about science fair projects. As always, the derby track was a hit!

Meet Ty, SARSEF's Rural Outreach Coordinator!

"I believe that every student deserves an opportunity to experience learning STEM by doing STEM, and sometimes a little bit of help and support is necessary to make those opportunities accessible”

As our Rural Outreach Coordinator, Ty is helping SARSEF reach more rural schools and communities in critical ways, whether by increasing the number of rural participants in the SARSEF Fair or helping us reach more teachers through professional development.

The Burton Family Foundation, a longtime partner of SARSEF programs, has launched the AZ Leadership Accelerator (AZLA), an 18-month program for Arizona nonprofit leaders. Julie Euber, CEO of SARSEF, has been selected to be part of the inaugural cohort of this professional development program.

"The Burton Family Foundation recognizes the importance of strong leadership in Arizona's nonprofit sector. I'm grateful for their investment in me and SARSEF as a whole through the Arizona Leadership Academy, " says Euber. "I'm excited to collaborate with my cohort members and to grow as a leader for the betterment of SARSEF."
