McCormick Garden Movie Night is turning into a big community celebration, and we’re excited to share a few AWESOME additions! Bring a foldable chair or blanket, the event is FREE to attend, we’ll have FREE popcorn for everyone, and Dairy Queen on Alvernon will be giving away coupons for FREE ice cream cones at the event!

The jumping castle opens at 5:00 p.m. to kick off the excitement, and at 6:30 p.m. The City of Tucson’s Ward 3 and Vista Del Monte Neighborhood Association will host a ribbon cutting celebrating McCormick Park’s brand‑new children’s playground.

Organic Gardening 101: September 6, 8:00-9:30 am at Chaverim Garden

Soil Health: September 20, 8:30-10:00 am at Presidio Garden

Native Bee Habitats: October 3 9:00-10:30 am at GD2 Garden

Trellis Building: October 18, 9:00-10:30 am at Doolen Garden

Attracting Beneficial Insects: November 15, 10:00-11:30 at Highland Vista Garden

Edible Weeds: December 5, 10:00-11:30 am at McCormick Garden

Heritage Crops for Spring and Tucson City of Gastronomy Cooking Demonstration: December 12, 10:00-12:00 am at Blue Moon Garden

Support Community Gardens of Tucson at JoJo’s for Tuesdays for Tucson on August 18 from 4-9 pm! JoJo’s will donate 10% of all meal purchases to help strengthen CGT’s gardens, education programs, and fresh food access across Tucson.

🥃 Free whiskey Del Bac tasting + a custom cocktail themed for the evening

🌞 This fall, we're launching the Garden to Pantry Program, growing fresh, organic produce in unused community garden plots and donating the harvest to local organizations serving neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Right now, we need your help getting started!

We're looking for volunteers to grow 200 seedlings for fall planting! It's easy:
🌱 We'll provide the seeds, supplies, and instructions.
🪴 You grow the seedlings for 6–8 weeks.
🥕 Together, we'll grow fresh food for our community.

Whether you're an experienced gardener or just getting started, we'd love to have you join us.
