It takes many hands to grow a healthy community. Grateful to be rooted in this work with so many inspiring partners 🌱
🌟 Growing Good Together 🌟 We’re excited to announce the recipients of this year’s Cooperative Community Fund grants! This initiative supports local nonprofits doing incredible work in our community. Each organization will receive a $500 grant and be featured in our Round Up at the Register program!
🌱 Casa de los Niños supports vulnerable children and foster families across Southern Arizona through crisis services, education, and behavioral health programs. Grant funds will help stock their food pantry with nutritious and culturally familiar foods for foster families in need.
🌱 Community Gardens of Tucson creates spaces where families can grow food, build community, and access fresh produce. Funding will support their Garden to Pantry program with seeds, compost, irrigation supplies, and volunteer support to help fight food insecurity.
🌱 Flowers & Bullets advances environmental justice through Midtown Farm, providing education on sustainability, food systems, and traditional knowledge. Grant funds will help purchase equipment for their commissary kitchen and indigenous food education programs.
🌱 Youth On Their Own supports local students experiencing homelessness with food, school supplies, and essential resources so they can stay focused on graduation and brighter futures. Funding will help keep their Mini Mall pantry stocked with food and essentials.
Thank you to all the nonprofits who applied: we were inspired by your work. Thank you to our Co-op owners for helping select this year’s recipients!
