When community partners come together, amazing things can happen. We would like to thank the community partners who helped us serve over 1000 entrepreneurs in 2025!

From launching statewide projects, speaking about business finance, hosting workshops on procurement, supporting pitch competitions, lending across rural communities, supporting character-based lending, hosting workshops, and helping us to bring our vision to life.

Each one of our partners are helping to transform Arizona's small business ecosystem through innovation, collaboration, and intentional engagement.

Thank you, for helping us deliver on our mission!

Thank you, Jenna Quaranta, Southwest Solutions, and the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce, for this month’s Women in Leadership Breakfast, which created space for connection and honest conversations about growth, authenticity, and leadership. We left with actionable tips for negotiation, relationship building, and resilience. Leadership doesn’t look just one way, and when women support one another, entire communities are uplifted.

Our lending team is proud to share a major milestone: $1,000,000 in microloans deployed!

What does it mean to fund that many microloans?
🔹It’s local entrepreneurs purchasing equipment and expanding their products.
🔹It’s entrepreneurs who have been shut out of traditional lending spaces, now growing and thriving in their small businesses.
🔹It’s families building financial stability through strategic growth.

At CIC, we believe access to capital shouldn’t depend on how much you already have. That’s why our lending team works to meet entrepreneurs where they are, providing flexible financing and hands-on support every step of the way.

Today, we pause to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

Memorial Day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and connection - with our neighbors, our families, and our communities. It’s also a reminder of the importance of building a future that reflects the values they stood for: opportunity, stability, and care for one another.

At CIC, we’re proud to be part of that work, helping more people access the tools and resources they need to build better futures for themselves and their families.

Wishing our community a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

CIC is proud to have received a grant from the Nasdaq Foundation to support the ongoing expansion of the Arizona Capital Access Program (AZ CAP).

AZ CAP seeks to address disparities in equity capital access through a two-pronged approach - by bridging the social capital gap that many entrepreneurs from under-resourced backgrounds face and by expanding decision-making power beyond current and traditional equity investment institutions.

AZ CAP will grow a local funder base in Arizona, and by activating a new generation of investors through peer-led investor groups (which include non-traditional investors and interest in non-traditional founders), they will level the field for those that traditional capital overlooks. AZ CAP will directly engage at least 750 individuals via trainings and one-on-one technical assistance, including entrepreneurs, investors, and workshop participants. Another 750 will be reached via partner networks, networking events, and other outreach efforts.

In 2025, the Nasdaq Foundation and its partners advanced strategic, scalable solutions to empower economic opportunity and strengthen a more inclusive and resilient financial system.

Last night’s Kiva Collective Happy Hour at Slow Body Beer reminded us why community matters so much.

What started as a vision for deeper connection among local entrepreneurs is already becoming something special - a space where small business owners, creatives, and community members can come together to share stories, support one another, build relationships, and learn about resources that help local businesses thrive.

Entrepreneurship can feel isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. Last night was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and plenty of laughter as strangers became friends over good food, local beer, and shared purpose.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported local, and helped make the evening so memorable. This is only the beginning for the Kiva Collective, which we are affectionately calling “a social club for a cause”. We can’t wait for the next pop-up.
