A Pawsome 30th Anniversary Surprise!

Our 30th anniversary celebration got a little sweeter, thanks to Dawn from Pet Friendly Fun.🐾🎉

We were so touched when Dawn reached out with a special surprise for our professional office pups, Gizmo and H***h! Dawn has been following CIC for a while and, after seeing our Gizmo and H***h pop up on our Instagram, she decided to help us celebrate 30 years of serving and investing in our community (all while welcoming our four-legged friends, too).

Dawn teamed up with Dogs-n-Donuts, a local storefront that creates treats and goodies for our furry friends, to make the cutest anniversary gift for Gizmo and H***h. 🎂🐶

We love seeing the creativity, kindness, and community spirit behind little moments like this. It’s a wonderful reminder that community investment comes in many forms, and sometimes, it comes with four paws and a delicious cake!

A huge thank-you to Dawn and Pet Friendly Fun for thinking of CIC, and to Dogs N Donuts for helping make this fun surprise happen. We’re proud to shine a spotlight on these local businesses and the people who make Tucson such a special place. You made our day!

At CIC, we’re proud to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples, here in Arizona and across the country.

From generations of knowledge and stewardship to the vibrant communities and traditions that continue to thrive today, there is so much to honor and celebrate.

Moonshot made its way to Nogales!

CIC’s Brandi and Irasema had the opportunity to be part of the Moonshot Pitch Competition in Nogales, connecting with local entrepreneurs and hearing some truly creative business ideas.

From innovative building materials and wellness services to new approaches for storing and dispensing art supplies, the event showcased the incredible entrepreneurial talent and ideas coming out of the Nogales community.

MCC IS BACK!

We’re excited to share that the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program is officially open again in Pima County!

For eligible first-time homebuyers, an MCC can provide up to $2,000 per year in federal tax credits on mortgage interest, that’s up to $2,000 that can go toward reducing your federal tax liability each year.

What to know:
• Available to eligible homebuyers purchasing in Pima County
• Up to $2,000 per year in potential tax savings
• Can help increase qualifying income by up to $166.66/month
• Can be combined with down payment assistance
• Potential long-term savings for eligible homeowners

Thank you to all who helped us celebrate Pima County's proclamation of September 29th, 2026, as Community Investment Day, in honor of CIC's 30th anniversary!

Together, we celebrated three decades of impact in Southern Arizona, launched the new CLEAR Heirs Property program, announced a 30th anniversary lending promotion, and raised funds for the Kiva Collective, all under the vibrant backdrop of the Tucson Botanical Gardens.

For three decades, CIC’s impact has been built through collaboration, trust, and a shared belief that our economy should work for everyone. Together, we have helped families access homeownership, supported entrepreneurs in building thriving businesses, and expanded educational opportunities for children across our region.
