No Kings Day 2.0 is less than a week away. Please join us Saturday morning October 18th from 8 to 10 am at City Hall / El Presidio Plaza for a march, rally, and press conference to announce the formation of a new broad and diverse coalition called “Defend Tucson! ¡Tucson Se Defiende!” We have exciting speakers lined up, including Mayor Regina Romero and Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva, and we'd love for you to be part of this historic moment, the kind of unity across our community that none of us can remember happening before.

And here are the details. Those who wish to march will gather in the gravel lot in front of the MLK Jr apartments across from Hotel Congress (N 5th Ave & E Toole Ave) at 8:00 AM and march to El Presidio Plaza (165 W. Alameda St), arriving at around 8:30 AM. There is plenty of garage and metered street parking around Hotel Congress on a Saturday morning, including the Centro Garage (345 E. Congress St), $5, all day parking. We also encourage the use of public transit.
If you don’t feel up for the march, just join us at El Presidio Plaza at 8:30 AM.
Again there is plenty of parking—at street meters or at the Main Library Parking Garage (45 W. Alameda St.) which opens at 7:45 AM. The El Presidio Parking Garage does not open until 9 AM.
The weather promises to cooperate: predicted to be sunny with a high of 74 degrees! But don’t forget your water, snacks, and sunscreen. We will have peacekeepers and street medics as usual.
Also, please make and bring signs that say Defend Tucson! and ¡Tucson Se Defiende!
This is the next step in our resistance. Like all DUU events have been in the past, this DTTSD action will be nonviolent and lawful.
