Codys Friends Charity

Codys Friends Charity Cody's Friends has provided pet food and supplies to people in need with pets in AZ. since 2011. Cody's Friends has two arms.

1. The need grew and so did we.

During 2019, (80+ ) approved Nonprofit rescue groups, sanctuaries and shelters, throughout the state of Arizona, came to Cody's Friends weekly and shared in donated dog and cat food from the Rescue Bank.

2. We help people in need with our Cody's Community Pets

HOW IT BEGAN
Hi, my name is Cody. I did a report at school about John F. Kennedy and I read his quote:
"Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country." I started thinking about ways that I could help my country. I asked my mom if I could start this charity. For 4 years, my mom and I picked up donations on front porches and we delivered them to people in need. In 2019, we distributed over one million pounds of pet food to people in need with pets. Right now many people and animals are suffering. People need food now and they will go hungry before they let their pet suffer. Please donate pet food or supplies in a Cody's Donation Station today. Those locations are listed on our website under "Where To Donate" Or, you can make a donation and we will purchase pet food. We can help a lot more people and pets by working together. :)

Wednesday mornings at Cody’s Friends are about more than handing out pet food. ❤️
New families come to register, volunteers answer questions, paperwork gets handled, and we do our best to make sure people get the help their pets need.
Every person who comes through has a story. Every pet waiting at home matters.
Thank you to the volunteers who show up with patience, kindness, and heart to help make Wednesday mornings work.

Meet precious Ares. ❤️
A few weeks ago, his mom came to Cody’s Friends for pet food, and our volunteers noticed this little puppy was not acting like a healthy, playful pup should.
One of our volunteers sat down with Ares on the patio, took a closer look, asked questions, and realized he needed more help than a bag of food. In that moment, we were able to help point his mom toward a local clinic that serves families with limited resources.
Ares received the care he needed and now look at him.
This is the kind of moment that reminds us why Cody’s Friends is about more than pet food. Our volunteers do not just hand someone a bag and send them on their way. They see the pets. They listen to the families. They care deeply about their safety, health, and well-being.
We are so happy Ares is feeling better and getting to be the roly-poly puppy he was meant to be.

Every week, people make their way to Cody’s Friends because their pets are family. ❤️
They come for pet food, but what we see is something much bigger: commitment, love, and the bond between people and the animals who mean everything to them.
A bag of food can help a pet stay fed, safe, and home where they belong.
If you are able to help, donations let us purchase the dog and cat food that goes right back out to families who need it.

This little face says so much. ❤️
The pets who come through Cody’s Friends are not just animals in need of food. They are family. They are comfort, company, routine, and love.
When pet food goes home with a family, it helps protect that bond.
Thank you for helping Cody’s Friends be here for pets and the people who love them.

Sometimes a visit to Cody’s Friends comes with a little extra joy. ❤️
This sweet dog came with his family for pet food and got to choose a new toy to take home too.
Pet food is always the priority, but when donated toys and supplies are available, it means we get to send a little happiness home with families too.
Thank you for helping Cody’s Friends share food, supplies, and small moments of joy with pets in our community.

Pet food does not stay here long. ❤️
Week after week, food comes into Cody’s Friends and goes right back out into the community.
Thank you to Karl with Pima County for helping get pet food where it is needed reaching pets and families beyond our own front porch.
Every bag that leaves Cody’s Friends has a purpose, and we are grateful for the people and partners who help make that happen.

This little label matters.
When someone receives a bag of pet food from Cody’s Friends, we want them to know where it came from.
Not because of branding.
Because of reassurance.
A blank bag can feel anonymous. But a labeled bag lets someone know there are real people behind it, and a place they can turn to if they have questions or need help again.
It is a small detail, but it carries a lot of respect.
The label goes on.
A volunteer scoops the food.
The bag is sealed.
And later, that bag leaves with someone who may have been worried about feeding their dog.
This is what Cody’s Friends is about: food, yes, but also dignity, connection, and keeping pets with the people who love them.

Some faces say everything. ❤️
Every week, Cody’s Friends helps pet food go home to loved dogs and cats across our community.
It may be a bag of food to us, but to them, it means dinner, comfort, routine, and staying with the people who love them.
Thank you for helping us keep bowls full.
