Meet Rosie, our adorable French Bulldog! You’ll often see her roaming around Caring House, happily greeting everyone she meets. Rosie is gentle, friendly, and always looking for a head pat or a belly rub.

Pictured here with Rosie is Ellen, one of our wonderful volunteers at Caring House. Ellen spends countless hours gardening and helping keep our outdoor area looking beautiful. She has been volunteering with us for many years, and we are so grateful for her dedication and hard work.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who help make Caring House such a warm and welcoming place!

Director David Zartman (L) and Caring House warmly thanks Pastor Scott (C) and Jim Juneau (R) from Neighborhood Church of Palos Verdes for their Easter gift to us. Jim advocated for Caring House and the congregation contributed with a generous donation for us that will go a long way to furthering our mission of peace at the end of life for all persons. Such a lovely, welcoming church and even lovelier people. Thank you!

Tim Richardson is our newest board member and brings years of experience across the workforce, from aerospace to law enforcement, and now as an entrepreneur.

Tim recently opened Deluxe Laundry Spa, a high-tech laundromat, with an inspiring goal! Over the next 10 years, he plans to donate 80% of the business’s proceeds to Torrance Memorial.

Tim met his wife, Mary, 42 years ago. Mary is an incredibly kind and generous person who has been an Auxiliary volunteer since 2017 and is a member of Las Amigas, a volunteer group focused on the Holiday Festival. Together, they make an exceptional team and have already accomplished so much.

We are excited to see Tim embrace what he calls his “third act.”
We are extremely grateful for the support of both Tim and Mary, as well as our strong relationship with Torrance Memorial.

Thank you to Da Vinci Design High School for working with Caring House on your senior project.

These students have been coming in a few days each week to interview staff, bake cookies, and help out around the house in any way they can.

We are grateful for their support and are always happy to partner with local schools and organizations.

Meet Diana, one of the incredible caregivers who makes Caring House feel like home.

Diana brings so much compassion and warmth to everything she does. She’s always working with a smile and shows genuine care for each resident she supports. It’s people like Diana who make such a meaningful difference in the lives of those around her, and we feel so lucky to have her on our team.

Here she is with Ava, one of the sweet pups you’ll often see bringing joy throughout the house. Ava belongs to Kim, another amazing caregiver on our team. Thank you, Kim, for all that you do, we truly appreciate you. Ava is always making her rounds, spreading smiles and brightening everyone’s day.
