I'm aware SBFA is no longer a chapter but as Community Service Chair, I wanted to post one last picture of our finally completed banners(23"x7") we painted for Together We Rise. These will be velcroed on the side of a duffel bag and delivered to foster care facilities in our area so children will have a personalized bag for their belongings instead of a trash bag to carry all their clothes, etc. SBFA supported this project for several years and we had one final push before we closed our chapter. Here are the 50! Remaining banners that went to our charity. Thank you to my faithful painters, especially the "Wednesday gals" who were game to help complete the last ones.
The kiddos will love all the designs, colors, and their own personal duffel bag.
Happy painting everyone🖌 Leslie🦚

Following are pictures of the duffel bag inserts that were painted by SBFA members for our Community Service project. The inserts are attached to duffel bags, which are supplied to children in the foster care system by the group Together We Rise. The duffel bags contain a teddy bear, crayons, coloring books, hygiene kit and can be used for the child's belongings. Thanks to Leslie Peacock for coordinating the project and to the members who painted the inserts; the designs were beautiful and will certainly bring a smile to the children's faces.

The SBFA 2021 Christmas Party was held on Saturday, December 11, 2021. It was great to get together in person with our fellow painters after not being able to have a Christmas party in 2020. Thanks to Karen Gibson and her committee for coordinating a wonderful party. The food was delicious, and everyone went home with a beautiful hand painted centerpiece. We also had an ornament exchange, and participants left with a tree ornament painted by one of their fellow chapter members. Also, five lucky people won items from our annual fundraiser. Also on display were the inserts that were painted by SBFA members for our Community Service project. The inserts are attached to duffel bags, which are supplied to children in the foster care system by the group Together We Rise. The duffel bags contain a teddy bear, crayons, coloring books, hygiene kit and can be used for the child's belongings. Thanks to the members who painted the inserts, the designs were beautiful and will certainly bring a smile to the children's faces.

SBFA’s Mystery Paint-In was today and our guest teacher was the fabulous Sandy LeFlore! We painted “Home Sweet Haunted Home” and also made a mixed media Halloween project. Thanks to Sandy for prepping our surfaces, goody bags and a fun day of painting. Thanks also to the Mystery Paint-In committee for all their planning to provide a fun day filled with delicious snacks and lunch, beautiful centerpieces and themed raffle prizes. We also had a preview of submissions for 2020 paint-ins and saw the items for our 2019 Fundraiser.
