This trip had it all—launching rockets into the Lucerne Valley sky, cooling off with a swim at Lake Jackson, and tackling a hike that tested our navigation and teamwork skills.

When the trail washed out, our Scouts didn’t turn around. They worked together, found the route, and safely made their way through the challenge using way-finding skills and good judgment. That’s what Scouting is all about: adventure, leadership, problem-solving, and confidence.

From mountain views on Table Mountain to rockets soaring hundreds of feet above the desert, these Scouts made memories that will last a lifetime.

This Flag Day, Troop 218 was honored to join the local Elks Lodge in celebrating the history and meaning of our nation’s flag.

Scouts participated in the flag ceremony, helping demonstrate the respect, tradition, and patriotism that the American flag represents. Through service and leadership, these young men continue to learn that citizenship is more than a merit badge—it’s a commitment to honoring those who came before us and serving their community today.

Thank you to the Elks for keeping this important tradition alive and for allowing our Scouts to be part of the ceremony.

Another powerful Memorial Day ceremony at the Los Angeles National Cemetery with the Scouts of Troop 218 Torrance. Lots of changes have happened in the troop this past scouting year, but what hasn’t changed is our deep reverence for this special annual event.
For the first time, Troop 218 was trusted with the responsibility of placing a flag at the headstone of a Medal of Honor recipient. It was really cool learning the incredible story of the service member buried there — complete with the special plaque, blue flag, and an Order of the Arrow Scout standing at attention until the flag was placed. Super meaningful!
Take a moment this Memorial Day to remember the brave service men and women who made our freedoms possible. A Scout is Reverent, and days like this bring that to life.

⚡️ FULL SEND at Garage 77 ⚡️

Troop 218 rolled in and turned the place into an all-out arcade showdown—pinball machines popping off, shuffleboard getting HEATED, air hockey rematches flying, and zero chill from start to finish.

This wasn’t just hanging out… this was full throttle fun. Boys being boys, laughing loud, competing hard, and stacking up memories like high scores.

Parents were in the mix too—kicking back, swapping stories, and soaking in the chaos (the good kind). One of those nights you wish you could hit “replay” on.

Massive thanks for the space and the vibes—Garage 77 delivered BIG. Let’s gooooo 🤘🔥

A huge thank you to our amazing charter organization for hosting us at another fantastic Scout Sunday! 🙌

We are truly blessed to have such a supportive partner that lifts our scouts up mentally, materially, and spiritually. Watching everyone live out “A Scout is Reverent” this past Sunday was heartwarming and inspiring — the kind of moment that reminds us why we do what we do. ❤️
