From our amazing northland volunteer crew-

MTB racing is back in the northland! We’re putting on the first ever McMarathon, an endurance MTB event, at Mark McHenry park on Saturday September 5th.

Format is simple. Mass start, 5 mile laps, last 1-3 riders are eliminated each lap and get to join the parking lot party (we’ll have food and drinks for y’all, don’t worry). Rinse and repeat until one rider remains.

All of the money raised from this event will go right back into the trails, helping the McHenry crew continue to expand this awesome trail system.

Grab your bike, your running shoes, bring your crew, and come celebrate the trails with Urban Trail Company at Shelter 14 for the Jacomo Jamboree!

This community event is all about bringing Kansas City’s trail community together to recognize the amazing volunteers who help build, maintain, and protect the singletrack we all love.

We’ll have group rides and trail runs for all skill levels, so whether you’re new to the trails or ready to roll with the fast group, there’s a group for you. The fun kicks off at 9:30 a.m.,with group rides rolling out around 10:00 a.m. and runs/hikes leaving at 10:15 a.m.

After enjoying the trails, stick around for food, drinks, and plenty of trail talk with fellow riders, volunteers, and friends.

UTC wouldn’t be what it is without the people who put in the time, sweat, and energy to keep our trails running strong. Comehelp us say thank you, celebrate their hard work, and enjoy a great day on the dirt with the Kansas City trail community!
