Crissy chose the biggest, fluffiest bed to snuggle down for a nap. It’s too hot outside to open the catios but it’s just right inside to enjoy a warm bed. We love spoiling the cats by giving them lots of options for places to snooze. Looks like we succeeded with Crissy. 😁

Arabelle was playing peekaboo. She does this sometimes when someone is in the room. She will kind of hide but poke her head out to watch what you’re doing. If she’s in the mood she’ll come out for pets, but if she’s in a playful mood she’ll run to another hiding spot. She’s a sweet girl and fun to hangout with. 😄

Momba let us know she wanted attention today by hopping up on the shelf that was being cleaned. She then layed down and rolled over looking adorable. It was impossible to tell her no. She got her favorite head and cheek rubs, then she let us get back to cleaning. An enjoyable ‘paws’ in the morning routine. 😉

Ladybug is so adorable when you pet her. She starts rolling around on her back and will even allow a few tummy rubs. Sometimes she’ll even grab the blanket she’s on and roll up in it. She’d love it if we could pet her for a long time but her roommates also need attention. We do the best we can to give them all lots of loving. It’s the best part of caring for them each day. 😃

When we are cleaning a cat room and get close to the catio door some of the cats will follow and hang out, hoping we are going to open it. We had to disappoint Cookie and the other cats today. It's still a little too warm and too humid. Hopefully it will cool down soon and we can indulge them. In the meantime we give them lots of attention and fun toys to play with. The Sertoma Clubs of Topeka Duck Race is five weeks away! Our goal is to have 200 ducks adopted and we are at 62%, over halfway there! Ducks can be adopted up until Saturday, Sept. 26th at 10 am when the race starts. Just visit our team page at https://www.duckrace.com/topeka/teams/10565 to adopt your ducks. You can adopt a single duck, five ducks, 12 ducks, or 27 ducks at a time. C.A.T. will receive 50% of the funds raised from ducks adopted through our page. We hope you'll adopt some ducks and help us reach our goal. If your duck is one of the lucky ones you could win a great prize! Grover and the cats wish you good luck!
