All of our adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, and are microchipped. It’s a good day to be out on the catios. Cookie was one of the first to go out when the door opened. The chairs are one of her favorite spots to be, either to watch the bird feeder or nap. She will probably be one of the last to leave, too. 😄

The Sertoma Clubs of Topeka Duck Race has kicked off and C.A.T. is racing to reach our goal to raise funds for the shelter. Ducks can be adopted through our team page at https://www.duckrace.com/topeka/teams/10565. You can adopt one duck, a few ducks, or a lot of ducks, and C.A.T. receives 50% of the funds raised through our page. Our goal is to adopt over 200 ducks! You can adopt ducks up to 10am on Saturday, Sept. 26th, right before the race starts. So head over to support C.A.T. and be entered to win prizes!

Tinsel was helping with the laundry in his own way. He was hoping you could help us with stocking up on some cleaning supplies. We could use some more bleach, laundry soap, and fabric softener sheets. A lot of laundry loads are run each week so we go through these items quickly. Any size and any brand is welcome. We are grateful for any help keeping the cats happy. 😸

We love watching the cats play and seeing which toys they like. We try to remember their preferences so we can make sure they have their favorites to play with, and also to tell their adopters later. So if you’re the lucky one to adopt Abel, he loves rope and string toys. He’ll bat them around, carry them in his mouth, and even play hide and seek with them. It’s so fun to watch. He really does deserve someone who will get him all of his favorite toys. 😄

It’s been rainy since yesterday and even Journee seems tired of the grey day. Look at this kitty blep she gave us this morning. Fortunately the rain has stopped, the sun has been peeking out, and Journee is now in the shop ready to greet people. If you visit maybe you can help make her happy with some head scratches and she can show you all the cool new cat toys we have to buy. Why not stop by? Journee would love to see you. 😃
