⚠️ THIS JUST IN. Literally.

This poult (baby turkey) was found by a friendly neighbor in the historic Tiverton Four Corners area. S/he is only a couple weeks old, and momma and siblings were nowhere to be found.

We're providing the critical care needed at this stage of life, and our "foster birds" will help us raise this little, local orphan. 🦃

With the help of her new quad wheelchair and the love and support from her boyfriend, Colby, Sadie is improving every day!

🐢 We're talkin' turtles!

The pond at West Place uniquely positions us to rescue turtles (and fish). Earlier this week, we helped the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management by taking a yellow-bellied slider and our first map turtle from their warehouse.

During Spring Visitors Weekend, we welcomed another yellow-bellied slider and a red-eared slider. The turtles are settling into their new habitat and exploring the waterfall, floating island, and pond plants. Chances are you'll catch the turtles sunbathing during your next visit. 🌞

Our pond operates year-round as we maintain a safe and healthy environment for our reptile rescues. You can help by sponsoring a turtle for just $10/month at westplace.org/turtle-sponsorship
