The Tiverton Celebrates committee is selling calendar raffles for the month of August!

Our local businesses stepped up in a huge way and we have LOTS of great prizes!

RI Law prohibits us from selling them online but please reach out to me or send me a message here and I’ll get them to you! We will also be selling them at concert series at Bulgarmarsh and other Tiverton events!

100% of the proceeds from these calendars will be used to host our 2027 parade which is run by a group of 100% volunteers, so every penny you spend goes right back to this event we all love so much!

Don’t forget to head on down to Bulgarmarsh Park for the 1st free summer concert with the Ravers at 6:00 tonight! While you’re there, pick up a Tiverton Celebrates calendar, a Tiverton Celebrates t-shirt, a Tiverton Celebrates sticker, or all 3!

Hi Everyone! You’ve seen a lot of well-deserved thank you notes today that Dana Coute created but one seems to be missing.

This is Maureen and I took over as admin and I’m going to speak my mind until Dana takes my admin rights away.. 🤣🤣

Four years ago, Dana Coute was asked and agreed to create a parade committee to bring the parade back to town. It was Dana who brought us all together, Dana, who puts up with all of our BS, Dana, who keeps us all on track and Dana who oversees the whole dam thing.. Don’t let her tell you any different, there is no Tiverton Celebrates parade if Dana Coute didn’t bravely accept the challenge of leading a group of volunteers all those years ago and continues to somehow keep it all together ❤️ Thank you Dana for being the ring leader to our circus! 🤡 🎪! Time to start planning 2027!

Thank you to Humphrey's for loaning us poles for our banners! Their support and willingness to help with poles, donations or loaning us saw horses is always appreciated!

The Parade Committee would also like to thank Sakonnet River Outfitters letting the commentators set up there and for letting us use their electricity! We'd also like to thank the Rys Brothers for setting up the commentators and videoing the parade. These guys are true professionals!

We'd like to give a big Thank you to Viti! Not only were they parade participants they also loaned us a convertible and a driver to drive Miss Rhode Island and Miss Teen Rhode Island! We appreciate their support year after year!

On the Parade Committee we do a lot of fundraising. However, we have angels that help us do what we do. In no particular order they are:
*Holy Ghost Church for use of their lots
*North Tiverton Baptist Church for use of their lot and for letting us put a port a potty there
*Little Willow for use of their lots
*B&M Embroidery for printing our t-shirts and gifting us some cool hats
*Paul's Press for printing everything and giving us great advice
*Family Ties for use of their lots
*Tiverton Waste Water District for helping us with expenses
*Tiverton Fire Department for fixing the cable, hanging our banner and for storing the banner all year.. Thanks Captain Murphy!
*Tiverton Police Department and especially Lt. John LeDuc and SRO Jackie Smaldone for coordinating all the details of street closures and traffic
*DPW and Director David Silvia for coordination, port a potties and getting more saw horses than anyone would ever need
*Recreation Event Planner, Emarys Barbosa, for her support, great ideas and planning skills
*Recreation (Stu, Gary, Kate, Chris, Shannon and Ed) for their support in letting us run with this
*The Town of Tiverton (Town Administrator, Town Council and all employees) for their support in anything we needed
And last but not least to our families for supporting us in all we do!

The Tiverton Celebrates Parade Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the parade, our student volunteers and everyone who came out to watch and cheer on the parade. We hope you enjoyed it!
Personally I would like to thank all the members of the Parade Committee. There is Amy Rybak aka the Amazing Commentator Coordinator, Karen Turner and Kelly Mello aka the Baddies of the Back Lot, Ellie Byrne and Susie Rosinha aka Parent Drop Off Perfectionists, Mike Cordeiro and Aidan McCrosson, our Cool Cats Commentators and Pat "Newbie" Nanini who stepped up and handled the volunteers. Although Christine Giannini couldn't be there she has been so helpful all year with great ideas and coordination with the schools.
There was also our day of volunteers who helped us immensely. There was Frank Rybak and Gary Monahan who wrangled the dignitaries, Mary Souza Sisson, a force of energy and compliments who helps with whatever is asked and is a Fairy Godmother to Benny and then there is Jeff Medeiros who puts up with me all year and also runs the lots like a Drill Sergeant!
Lastly, I would like to thank Maureen Sylvia who is the brains of this whole operation! Year after year this event would not happen without her and this year she had the added task of covering for me while I vacationed!
Thank you to our crew for bringing energy and fun to this event!
