Lighthouses on the Lawn Artist Feature: Robin Nunes Art

“In my newest collection of works for Four Corners Gallery in Tiverton, Rhode Island, I have focused on Cityscapes. My love of nature has brought me to the love of painting en plein air. I stand in front of, marvel at, and then paint what I see in natural
surroundings. Whether I am painting seascapes or landscapes, using a palette knife
adds a whimsical touch to my paintings.

Robin Nunes is a full-time artist who is focused on a personal and playful approach
to her art. Her use of palette knife allows her to add an abundance of texture to her
paintings. She is currently represented by Four Corners Gallery, located in Historical
Tiverton, and Norton’s Gallery, located in Padanaram; as well as Attleboro Art
Museum. Ms Nunes was the recipient of The People’s Choice, Plein Air Cuttyhunk
Festival, 2020, 2021, and 2022. She won People’s Choice Award at Attleboro Art
Museum 2021. She is currently participating in Pawtucket Plein Air Exhibition.”

Lighthouses on the Lawn Artist Feature: Nancy Bogle Westfeldt

“Most of my life has been spent outdoors by the ocean or in the mountains and it is by being in either place that has brought me so much joy and inspiration for my paintings. Both areas are filled with constantly changing light, a huge sense of space and a barrage of color when studied carefully. There seems to be a feeling of WOW every time. Specifically, sitting or walking along the shore brings a time for reflection, observation and appreciation for the many moods of the ocean. I try to capture certain moments in time in my paintings, whether it is a brief sense of peace or stormy turmoil. I chose to include a lighthouse in this rendering to honor what lighthouses were originally used for in time of need. From what I have read, it wasn’t an easy life being a lighthouse keeper.”

🎨Want to bring Nancy’s beautiful work home? You can support her AND us by placing your bid today!
