This National Police Week, we honor the officers who show up for our youth and communities far beyond the badge. 💙

Through Riverside County PAL, mentorship continues to make a difference. From Murrieta to Menifee, Indio to Southwest Station, we are grateful for the officers, deputies, and mentors who invest their time, leadership, and heart into the next generation.

Thank you for building trust, creating connection, and reminding our youth that positive relationships matter.

Respect. Honor. Remember.

Young PAL had the opportunity to visit the beautiful (Temecula Heritage Rose Garden) this week alongside our mentors 🌹

Thank you to the Temecula Heritage Rose Garden for hosting our youth & officers and helping create a space for connection, mentorship, and positive experiences in the community.

PAL is about kids, cops, and community coming together in meaningful ways. We’re grateful for community partners who continue to pour into the next generation alongside us. 💙

Our PAL officer Carla Sanchez () , invited our team to her Every 15 Minutes program at Murrieta Valley High School. An important program to show the impact of impaired driving. Our PAL chapter offers diversion classes such as Substance Use Education and Victim Awareness, that touch on the consequences of our choices. Thank you for having us, it was powerful to watch and listen to speakers from CHP (), CAL FIRE (), DA’s Office (), Murrieta PD (), and Lily Kelly Ministries ().

This morning was egg-cellent 🐰🥞

Our Pancakes with PAL event brought together youth, mentors, and community over hotcakes and connection. Huge thank you to Officer Sanchez from for investing time with our youth, and to for helping us stack up the smiles with breakfast.

We’re all about creating spaces where young people can grow, connect, and feel supported—and today was no yolk. 💛

We couldn’t let it pass by - March was National Reading Month! Reading is an essential part in strengthening vocabulary, critical thinking, imagination , and confidence in youth. Riverside County PAL contributed to this mission by our mentees making bookmarks and providing free books through our mini libraries, one of which was painted by one of our Teen PAL mentees. Reading can make a difference in our communities. You too can make a difference by supporting your local library, starting a book club, or spreading awareness on the importance of reading to youth in your community.

🧡✨ PSA from the mentees of Riverside County PAL ✨🧡

It’s Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month —
and we’re choosing better.

Better communication.
Better boundaries.
Better relationships.

🚩 Pressure isn’t love.
🚩 Control isn’t protection.
🚩 Fear isn’t normal.

If someone pressures, isolates, controls, or scares you — that’s a red flag.

Healthy love feels safe.
And we won’t settle for less. 🧡

Kindness took center stage when joined forces with our Young PAL mentees! This local service clubs mission is “providing assistance for children impacted by substance abuse, domestic violence, and child abuse/ neglect.” We couldn’t be more grateful for these teens making a difference!

💜✨ PALentine Crafternoon was one for the books! ✨💜

This week, Riverside County PAL youth and mentors gathered in Temecula and Indio for an afternoon full of creativity, connection, and community. From hands-on crafts to laughter-filled moments, the turnout was incredible — and the energy in the room said it all.

A huge thank you to our partners who helped make it happen:

Your support helps us create safe, welcoming spaces where young people can build friendships, confidence, and positive relationships with mentors and officers alike.

We’re so grateful for a community that continues to show up for our youth. 💜

Meet Macie, the 2025 Rookie of the Year! Macie began as an intern at the Safe Family Justice Centers and helped provide mentorship in our Teen PAL group in Temecula. Once her internship ended, she was enthusiastic to keep helping and being a positive role model to our teens. Macie has volunteered her time this past year, providing a safe space for our teens to have important discussions and jumping in wherever she sees a need. Macie has been an essential and influential mentor within the PAL program.
