is an organization of Gentlemen that proactively seek to help women throughout the world by leveraging the concepts of microlending and microfinance. We are not a political or religious organization. We simply want to find women who need and will benefit from our help…and then to gain satisfaction from the knowledge we have, if ever so slightly, done our part to help those in the world less fortu

nate than ourselves. Each of our members believe that the concept of microfinance enables us to accomplish this goal by participating on a person-to-person, grassroots level that we believe can be more effective than the many government to government programs of the past. Compadres efforts typically target women in countries without the “safety nets” we have in the U.S. which allows us to create our own direct international network of economic assistance and policy outreach. By working within the framework of microloans and microfinance, Compadres and its members simply seek to do the right thing for a segment of our world’s society that people often say needs help, but rarely get the help. We do not believe that we can solve the world’s problems, but we do believe we can lend a financial hand to those who seek to help themselves, and by helping themselves, we extend that hand to others through Compadres. We believe that we can change the world, one woman and one family at a time, through the companionship offered by our Compadres members. Compadres, Inc., is a California Non-Profit Public Benefit corporation (Registration Number: C307591).

To date our group of 20-30 local misfits and buisnessmen have lent out nearly $370,000 to almost 5000 needy buisnesses in thirld world countries. The most amazing thing is that we have lost less than $300 due to loan default.
