Thank you to everyone who supported our second Magic and Miracles event in Orlando! Attendees were entertained by harpist (and CFC past scholar) Isabelle Scott and magician Sebastian Gerhardt, listed to Founder Craig Pollard and scholar Shannon Silliman share their stories, and got to mingle directly with all 10 scholars present. Plus, embedded in the magic were TWO surprise scholarship reveals - Malia Kirschman, survivor of Sarcomas, and University of Florida student; and Kiarrah Brown, survivor of Leukemia and Howard University student.

As we close out Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we'd like to introduce you to Claudia Heim. Claudia is pursuing a degree at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her diagnosis opened her eyes to the needs of the adolescent and young cancer community. She wants to use her own experience to better understand the needs of the patient as they transition from being in treatment to thriving through the rest of their lives.

Cancer for College is bringing its inaugural Classy Golf Classic Carolinas to Verdict Ridge Golf and Country Club in Denver on Monday, Oct. 26.
