Criminals are impersonating law enforcement and federal officials to convince victims, particularly older Americans, to convert their savings into gold and surrender it to a supposed courier. A coin dealer may be the last person with an opportunity to recognize that a customer is being victimized before hundreds of thousands of dollars - or an entire lifetime of savings - leave the victim's possession. APMD member Patrick Heller, of Liberty Coin Service in Michigan, received the inaugural Patrick A. Heller Legislative Champion Award from NCBA. The award was renamed this year in honor of his decades of volunteer service and leadership for the organization, fighting for state sales-tax exemptions for coins, paper money, and bullion. In just the last year, he has been actively involved in campaigns in Alaska, Colorado, Maryland, Nebraska, New York, and Virginia.

All PNG members get in free, whether you have a table set-up or not, and anyone who will have a table at the Whitman Expos Baltimore show is eligible for a table at PNG Dealer Day. Participation is free for PNG members, and $100 for non-member dealers. The registration form is available under "Events" on our website!

The two executive members of our board haven't changed, but we thought we should take the opportunity to highlight them anyway! John Feigenbaum, our executive director since 2023, has been a professional numismatist since 1979 and is now the owner and CEO of Greysheet and Whitman Publishing. The final member of our team is Tamara Collett, our Executive Assistant. She spent many years working for Positive Protection Inc. (PPI), a security company that provided on-site security services for coin and jewelry shows. She coordinated security for coins shows, including the World's Fair of Money, Central States, FUN, and the Whitman Expos. She's been with us for almost a year, communicating with members daily and making sure that everything keeps running smoothly!
