Yesterday, we kicked off our D.C. Fly-In with a Day of Service at McKinley Technology High School, connecting directly with the next generation of music industry professionals.

During Network With the Pros, NAMM delegates met with 9th-12th graders to share their career journeys, answer student questions, and highlight the many paths available in music, including audio engineering, event production and beyond.

It was an inspiring day of real conversations and a powerful reminder that the future of the music industry starts with today’s students. 🎶

🎉 Announcing the 2026 BCME Opportunity Award Winners 🎉

New in 2026, The NAMM Foundation expanded the Best Communities for Music Education Award program with the introduction of the Opportunity Award — which provides direct financial support for BCME-winning music education programs where it’s needed most.

This year, four outstanding schools and districts were selected to receive grants of $5,000, based on demonstrated financial need and the potential impact of funding.
